Ziploc Double Zipper Storage Bags - Gallon, 52 Count

I first heard about this specific type of Ziploc bag from America's Test Kitchen. I can personally verify that these will pass the drop test. I feel the bag with water and threw it under the ground outside onto the concrete and it did not bust open. After a second throw there was a leakage but not because of the seal. Worth it

These Ziploc Double Zipper Gallon Storage Bags (52 count) are not as pictured AND are defective. The old design, apparently, that is pictured on the box, has been replaced by the bags in my photos with the red zip border. This larger zip border is probably suppose to be easier to get grab and separate - which it is. But the plastic is weak and the red zip border tears on every other bag. Sadly, I waited too long to return them. BE FOREWARNED!

For moderately priced zipper-top bags, these are the sturdiest I have found. The bags are thicker than bargain bags but slightly thinner than "freezer" bags. The zippers work effectively and are easy to line up to seal. I have had a few VERY small leaks at the end of the zippers where they are molded to the bag, but only when there is a very thin liquid in the bag.

I'm a 30 year old Eagle Scout who still camps and backpacks pretty regularly. You can not properly pack for a camping or hiking trip without ziploc bags. They keep everything neatly partitioned (e.g., one day's worth of clothes in one bag) and, more importantly, DRY! Every single coat (even business ones) has a sandwich ziploc bag in a pocket so that I put my cell and wallet in it if I ever get caught in the rain. A box of gallon-sized stays in the kit of useful junk in the car. BE PREPARED!

I bought this a while ago and so far I am impressed with the quality and durability. I have used them to store everything from cut vegetables to juice concentrate! And I'm totally impressed. The seal is VERRRY easy to close and seals end to end with just one pull from side to side.These beat the GLAD ones off any day.I am happy I bought 'em and would definitely recommend 'em as the number one choice for ziplock bags.
