A good piece of kit, especially for the price. I’m happy with it. I’m now able to take advantage of a previously unused socket behind the sofa.SETUP: the instructions showed exactly how to wire it (see photos), and it took me about 3 minutes. The entire cable was neatly hidden with the vertical setup - the horizontal would have had a small loop of cable underneath, but I preferred the vertical (see photos).Although my old skirting board sticks out a little, it wasn’t a problem, and I still was able to plug it in properly.IN USE: the Echo Dot still works perfectly - if anything, it sounds a bit louder, possibly because it’s facing straight out?It looks quite stylish, feels quite substantial, and the coiled wires do not heat up at the back, even though it’s plugged in and “live” all the time.

Probably should not get as excited about this as I did in Christmas day, however any solution to a cable related fasted challenge deserves praise in my book . Very well designed holder, cable tracks in the back to secure the power cable as you see fit, works vertical or horizontal, with only the merest of cable visible in horizontal config. Holds the for well and is not wobbly at all in the socket, also the sound seemed a little better from the dot ! Anyway great product, great price ( for 2 !!)

This is a well-designed device that enables you to tidily tuck away the dot’s power wire and plug it straight into the wall socket. The wires are no longer visible and the whole thing accommodates the dot neatly without impairing its function in the least. It comes in either black or white plastic, with a blue-edged plug housing. You will have to ensure that there is enough room below the plug socket to allow the device to hang and not touch any surface: it is not possible to arrange so that the dot is above the plug socket: to do that you would need to unscrew the socket from the wall and rewire it so that it is upside down!The other handy thing is when you might want to plug the dot in somewhere else: all you do is pull the hangar out of the wall and take it to where you want to plug in; e.g. another room. It’s a relatively minor thing, of course, but it avoids having to be careful with the wires trailing, etc.All in all, for the price, and ease of set-up, excellent!

Just what I wanted to install a Dot in the kitchen out of the way. Looks like you can install this 3 ways. To the left, downwards and to the right like how I have.

Returned mine & replaced with one that supposed to enhance the sound quality of the Dot? ( now awaiting delivery ) There was a definate muffling of sound from the Dot, so not good if you want a clear crisper sound. Anyone thinking of installing above fixed work surfaces, an electric socket at the centre needs to be about 7 inches/18 cm above the surface for the dot to fit vertically.

It is easy to assemble the plug and device into the unit. It makes it easier to plug device into any wall outlet. It is easier to move device from one outlet to another. If moving to another location packing it up and plugging in couldn't be easier. You don't have to search for device ,plug, cable , it's easier to pack up and move.It's only suitable for Echo Dot 3rd generation or similar. It would be nice to have one for the Echo that is like a globe.I highly recommend for Echo Dot user's. Great value and the cost.

I was never quite sure where to put my dot safely in the kitchen, this us the perfect solution.It keeps it safely out of the way, hides the cable and needs no drilling or screwing. You simply push the dot into the holder and plug it into a spare electrical socket.It even seemed to improve the bass sound.Deffinately recommend.

We bought this to hold our echo dot in the kitchen as we are a little short on counter space, it works perfectly, does not affect the use of the device at all and looks great. My only minor criticism is that I often catch a glimpse of the unit and think the dot is in use as the blue trim looks like the dot's lights at a quick glance but it's no biggie! Keeps cable nice and neat too.
