SAFCOL Gourmet on the Go Chunk Light Tuna with Lemon and Pepper in Spring Water, 6-Ounce Cans (Pack of 12)

I like the lemon flavor for most any seafood, this is no different. Only complaint is that it is hard to drain, I lose too much tuna down the drain. That being said, others say that it's mush, or too much water, or other complaints. I did not experience that myself. I am teed off that our products are shrinking AND the prices are rising. I guess many folks really can have the wool pulled over their eyes otherwise this practice wouldn't work. Just raise the prices would ya, and leave the size of the product alone! But I digress,... Safcol is STILL 6oz!! That is about 17% more per can than the leading brands, do the math and buy with subscribe and save! Great bargain!

The tuna was not as "Chunk" or dense as I perfer. The tuna is packed with way more water than I would expect, which makes draining difficult. The lemon pepper was sweet rather than acidy and spicey. This was unlike other brands lemon pepper that I enjoy, especially when making sandwiches.

Watery, Flaky, Some Pepper OR Too Much Pepper and Lemon HintsThis is such an inconsistent product. Some cans had little or no pepper and others had way too much. It's also very watery, flaky with few chunks if any with a hint of lemon. This is basically a hit or miss, can by can. Basically a "Tuna Roulette Gamble" I won't repurchase!

I made some sandwiches for my husband using this tuna. I have a special drainer that fits over the can. Some complained about too much water, just drain it. He commented on the lemon flavor asking if I did something different in making the tuna salad. He thought the tuna tasted less fishy; and what a good idea I had in adding the lemon.I eventually had to tell him the whole truth that the tuna came that way; when one day he was asking where I kept the lemon juice for the tuna I made the other day. I love the flavor myself. I felt it was a good price for the amount you get. I will buy this brand and flavor again.For me, the product makes two good size filled sandwiches.

this is the best canned tuna i have ever had and there are lots of other great reasons for purchasing the brand including the facts of how this company produces the tuna,,how they catch only what is needed,,if you read about the company safcol you will find lots of interesting facts,,this product use to be available local but for reasons unknown it no longer is available so thanks amazon for providing a great product

I highly recommend the SAFCOL Tuna line of products. The price is right, especially when you compare these 6 ounce cans to other brands that are 5 ounces in this same range. We've tried a few of these in different flavors and they are tasty. A nice change of pace.

The reason why I love this product is because the flavor profile is just perfect for me. The lemon and pepper is not to overpowering and the fish meat is soft. What I like about this product is that I was able to order it online. The city where I'm from stopped selling it for some reason. I searched almost every store and nothing! I've recommended this product to many of my friends and all with satisfying results.

If you love tuna salad or sandwiches this is wonderful. I ordered 3 more cases today so I won't be without for a very long time. Any combination of green onion, celery, olives, spinach, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, whatever and a little mayo on fresh French bread is heavenly.
