Sturdy brackets - good value- install with separate mounting hardware.
The brackets are sturdy enough to support a fairly heavy shelf. Using a full-sized wooden template that fit over the edge of my shelf, I was able to align the shelf brackets with the 1/2" holes that were drilled into the shelf. While the brackets came with screws and plastic drywall anchors, the screws were too long and too large in diameter to use with the anchors. I ended up using my own plastic anchors and screws. Overall, I am pleased with the product.

Exactly what I needed
For me, this was an easier solution than trying to install a wood setup that would accomplish the same thing. Would probably have required more cutting than I would have liked based on my size of shelf. So, I planned my project around the 1/2" thickness of the "pegs" and went from there. The supports are very sturdy. I used 2 supports for my 48" long shelf. Shelf itself weighs about 15 pounds, and I just have some light decorative items on it.I like there are 4 holes to attach it to the wall. I made sure to hit one stud in one of the holes, then used the included anchors for the other holes. I did have some problems with the one type of drywall anchor as none of my phillips head screwdrivers were thick enough to really grab the inside of the anchor to screw it into the wall. For one of them I screwed a screw in part way into the anchor, then used that to turn that into the wall, but that didn't work every time. I've used these type of anchors before with no problem, so I guess these were just a little larger than what I used in the past.Anyway, for the price point, I think these supports did the trick.

Hide the brackets, show off your floating shelves.
I chose these brackets because I was going to put all 4 screws into the studs and then tile over the visible part of the bracket. The posts fit the floating shelves that I had. The shelves also had long slots in the back so that I could adjust them right to left as necessary for centering and aligning all of them. My picture shows that you cannot see any of the bracket, which is the desired effect. I cannot say how well they would work/look if you were using them as advertised, but for my purpose of mounting them into studs behind tile they are perfect.

Look Marvelous!
These were so much easier than creating the floating shelves ourselves (which we were going to do). I returned the $49 brackets and die to drill the holes ($30) and got these shelves (there are 4 although we used 3) for $24. Very happy with the size and quality and ease of use.

Definitely not heavy duty, had to supplement with L bracket
I was looking for something to use with a 2x10 for floating shelves and took a chance on the 8-inch brackets. Unfortunately, they couldn’t support the weight of the 2x10 before I even put anything on it. Only way I could see it possible working is if it was put onto a horizontal stud or if you have a really light floating shelf unit. I was able to add some small L-brackets as these were in a corner and that worked enough for me, but I can’t give it more than 2 stars due to the issues above.

Very sturdy
These brackets were just what I needed to mount some pretty heavy butcher block to a wall as "floating" shelves. Will definitely use again on the next project that requires it! For my project I marked the shelves where the studs would be first, then I cut the drywall out on the studs and screwed these directly to the studs, slid these into the bored holes on the shelves, held in place and screwed directly to the stud. Couldn't be happier with the product!
