Got Special Needs Toddler to Pee Standing Up!
Our tall and lean (42.5in, 40lb), newly 4 toddler successfully potty trained abt 6mos ago. But like others, didn’t want to pee standing up, insisted on taking off pants and underpants when using his Summer Infant potty (pictured), and insisted on pulling them down all the way while seated on standard toilets to give him enough space to maneuver his hand to ‘aim down’. I bought the green frog and it worked (after trying to sit in it, lol), he stood up to pee at school the next morning!(1) DELIVERY On time prime delivery, new and undamaged, all parts accounted for, very lightweight.(2) SUCTION Our walls are retro mint porcelain tile and the suction stays put, though easy to move if needed. Also love how you can unhinge the entire thing if you want while keeping your suction cup position in place.(3) CLEANING Easy to clean, the light green interior comes out and hangs back so easy that our LO picks it up and pours pee into the toilet while I easily sud and rinse out each time.(4) SPINDLE We were both intially disappointed the spindle never moves, but some reveiws panned it as a pee projectile on similar products, so it’s all good.(5) PRESENTATION I wanted a cuter model, I was afraid the eyes and mouth would scare LO but so far it’s just me, lol!(6) SUCCESS FACTOR The transition was overnight, we were thrilled! For a special needs toddler we dreaded this being an episode, but he immediately adapted to peeing in this urinal, then standing with his potty, his port-a-potty and the small fixture potties at his school. He’s also pulling underpants and pants down now just enough for ‘clearance’.(7) NOT AN OBSTACLE I have a small bathroom and it stays blissfully unobtrusive, and is perfect size for PreK/K.(8) VOLUME It holds 24oz safely, can’t comment on splash at that amount.(9) BACKSPLASH I’ve tried observing for backsplash in general, but he stands close and has always liked to wipe rather than ‘shake’ so I’m unsure. The urinal is great but he also has a tribe of magnificent teachers so I don’t want to over gush. I am however getting another for a family member as he transitions between households, so far highly recommend!

If your son will not potty train try this...
My 2.5 year old son doesn't like to sit and pee. He does like to stand and pee... on the kitchen floor, on his room table, on trees outside, on the rug that is impossible to clean. So I thought maybe he would like to use a urinal. He does! It's better than sitting on the toilet seat and a lot cleaner. It's easier for him to aim and hit the urinal. He also likes to aim and hit the wheel inside the urinal and make it spin. The size is perfect for a little kid. It's small if you are expecting to be able to use if for older children or adults (but why would you?).The inside urinal bucket comes out for easy dumping and rinsing in the tub. The one downfall is the sticky that comes with the urinal to stick it to the wall. I think if you have smooth painted walls it will stick better. I have tile and one of the stickys would not stick. I doubled up with one of the stickys that comes with 3m wall hangers and it worked well. One thing that is a bit creepy is that it's a frog's mouth... my son pees into a frog's mouth. Am I the only one that finds that a bit creepy?

Cute and easy to use
My son loves using this. He only likes standing even by the toilet, which is why I purchased it. Little extra cleanup since you cant just flush.. buti i just empty into the toilet and clean with soap / disinfecting spray - very easy to clean. he thinks it’s so funny when he aims and it spins and has really helped with his aim and wanting to go - so less accidents happening.I don’t find it too small, like some reviews stated .. It is small, but it’s for toddlers and I wouldn’t want something too big in my bathroom.Only complaint would be that it does splash a little when the pee hits the spinner , which is a little unsanitary if it gets on him.. so I gotta wipe him a bit more sometimes.. otherwise I’d give this 5 stars.Overall, I think it’s super cute and a great urinal for toddlers.

It Worked For Me
Love the thing! It has definitely made potty training a boy easy to reinforce from daycare to home. I love its accessibility. It is hung in my bathroom at just the right height for him and he goes with ease. Definitely love it when he plays to the point where he is rushing to the bathroom.I don't have to worry about him touching the toilet seat or throwing it up with the risk of it falling back down on him as he uses it. (Has seen a toilet seat fall on a toddler's parts and it really hurt him).I didn't use the suction cups because they didn't stick to my wall, so I just bought double-side adhesive strips to help keep the urinal in place. The spinning "tougue" was great in the beginning when teach home to aim. It becomes a bit messier as they get older and their flow becomes stronger.Overall, loved this product so much I bought 2!

Great product that I wished I had purchased much sooner.
First, let me state that this product works but it is much smaller than I thought it would be. My grandson is small for his age but it works great. We attached it to the wall so he can run in and go whenever he wants. You do have to empty it just like a normal potty chair but it is nice to teach him the difference and what he will see in public restrooms. The product is not much taller than 15", if that, and it is only about 8" wide. We had to use the sticky pads that came with it to keep it from moving back and forth; since then he has used it much more. The spinning wheel does not really spin well on ours but it gives him something to target so it doesn't go everywhere. Overall a great product that I wish I had purchased much sooner. We waited too long to start potty training so it hasn't gone as fast as we hoped but it is working.

Cute design, not for toilet training though
Looks exactly as presented and a nice idea, just not at all practical for potty training - disasters everywhere = cleaning large areas around each time. Has ended up being an expensive bath toy!
