First off it is important to have the correct expectations of a product that is in line to what you are paying for that product. You cannot expect the performance of a Porsche when buying a Ford Fiesta.I wanted an easy way to make my coffee and this frother works extremely well. It is very powerful and you couldn't ask for anything more in a small hand held unit like this. We keep it right next to the coffee so it is always within arm’s reach. It is amazing how well such a small unit does. If you are looking for a small hand held unit that is just plain easy to use, this is a great one to choose. You really can't go wrong with this one.The construction of the unit seems quite good. The main body is very solid so this does not feel like a cheap device. The batteries are inserted into the end of the device and held in place by a plastic slider. We are still on the original set of batteries but we don’t use it every day.So if you are looking for a small Frother for your cup of coffee, look no further this one works really well.

Unlike many of the top reviews here, I did NOT receive this for free. I paid for it. But I still like it. I made my first "poor man's latte" with it today, and it worked beautifully. After frothing the milk (I used soy milk), and microwaving it, it tripled in volume with a lovely foam on top. Then I added strong coffee from an Aeropress and enjoyed it.I prefer models like this that take regular AA batteries (2) rather than AAA batteries or something else. I use rechargeables so it's a green solution.Cautions:* Be careful to not fill your vessel more than 2/5 or 1/2 full because this frother is so powerful it could push the liquid out over the rim if you fill it any higher.* Watch the frothed milk when you microwave it, because it will expand with heat and could overflow your mug* This is sold with and without a stand. Be sure which model you are ordering if you want the stand.I'm glad I bought this, even though I detest the practice of buying reviews with free product. I try to avoid buying products that purchase reviews, but I'm glad I got this.

This item is really really not worth the price. Please consider another option if you are thinking about buying this. I believe most of the reviews here to be scams or some sort of hack they are using to add single word, five-star reviews that say "good".I bought it as a replacement for another milk frother I had in the house that my roommate took when he moved out. First off, the photos make it look more high quality than it actually is. The plastic they use is really cheap and the whole item feels like it cost less than a dollar to make. That "shiny" looking plastic is really cheap once you get it in your hands.Second, the design for activating the stirrer is AWFUL. Theres a push switch with a little gripper that has really poor ergonomic design. First off, the way you have to position your hand to activate the switch requires you to whip foam is like you're stabbing the cup, holding the stirrer like a knife as if you were stabbing someone. Really not an intuitive grip at all. Second, this push switch design makes it so you can only go high-speed or off - there is no "pulsing" action enabled by the switching. Really really hard to control. A button design (instead of a switch) makes frothing a joy - really easy to control the pace of the frothing action.DO NOT BUY THIS FROTHER. Seriously I use a frother daily and this thing will make your morning much much worse.

This is a very good Frother, as advertised, but some of the information is out-of-date. As some customers have noted, this whisk does NOT include the advertised stand! VonKitchen needs to update their literature and their Amazon webpage! The stand is mentioned on the webpage and in the instruction sheet that accompanies the Frother. If you are expecting a stand with this Frother, you will be disappointed, as was I. All you get is an excellent battery-operated Frother that does a great job! VonKitchen offered me a full refund due to my disappointment, but I elected to keep the Frother for two reasons: First, it is an excellent appliance! It quickly froths warm or cold milk! Second, the people at VonKitchen are a pleasure to deal with! They are customer-focused and will go the extra mile to make sure their customers are satisfied! That is worth much more to me than a wire stand! I wish all sellers were as customer-focused as VonKitchen!

I have been using this almost every day for the last couple months, and my batteries (alkaline) haven't needed changing.This is strong enough for any liquid.It was even able to whip eggs, although it struggles a bit with initially breaking up the yolk. Breaking the yolk with a fork or by simply stabbing the yolk with the frother and then frothing is great for getting fluffy omelettes. You'd probably go through batteries much faster that way though.I am able to turn this device ON while the switch is in the OFF position by simply pushing in on the button (instead of sliding it). I'm not sure if it's supposed to do that, but I like it that way, as it allows me to use it in short bursts.It will can stand straight up (on the battery lid), but it has a bit of wobble. I wish they'd have just made that part flat.All in all, this was a great purchase.

Works well until it doesn't work at all! I have ordered 3 of these over the past 2 years and they will do the job for 3-10 months.So far I have found several failure modes. The On-Off switch contacts fail, the motor quits or the battery to motor contacts disintegrate.So far the seller has replaced one that failed in the first 3 months. They responded quickly to my compliant and I received a replacement for no charge. The design of this unit is OK, but the quality of materials used is poor. The use of thinly plated contacts to activate the motor willcause this unit to fail to operate with normal once daily usage.All though the price is good, I will look for a more dependable product I can rely on for daily use.
