Best sunscreen on the market
I’ve been using this exclusively for years and recommend to all my friends. Zero white cast. Stays on in the water. Only downside is that it doesn’t sit well under makeup but they have a tinted sunscreen that makes up for it. I put this in my kids eyelids (because they’re blonde and refuse to wear hats) and it doesn’t sting!!!

Perfect sunscreen
I love this sunscreen! The fact that it’s reef safe is amazing! And no added water. You put a little pea size dot on your hand and it goes a long way and it’s very moisturizing as well.

Great for running, even marathons
I use this on my face for long runs. I used it on my last marathon and it was great. No sunburn and no burning eyes. It’s a small tube, but you really don’t need to apply a lot. I had gnats bugging my face when running along the river on my marathon, but I haven’t experienced that anywhere else, so I’m chalking it up to the river and not the sunscreen. It also doesn’t have that greasy feel of most sunscreens.

Not really a gel- more like a silicone serum
Like other reviewers have said, this isn’t really a gel. I think of gel as something like aloe or hair gel. This is a thick, silicone-type textured product. A little like Vaseline. It feels really good on my skin. Despite the thickness, it doesn’t look or feel greasy like so many other sunscreens. I bought it based on reviews for best sunscreens for runners. Indeed, it doesn’t run into my eyes or sting when mixed with sweat.

Holy Grail of sunscreen!
I am basically a ghost, or glow-in-the-dark as my family likes to say. My skin is super sensitive to the sun, and I can burn to a crisp in a matter of minutes. Add to that I take a medication that makes me even MORE sensitive, and a beach vacation is a recipe for disaster. I have tried all the sunscreens on the market, most at SPF 50 or higher. A friend with equally burn-prone skin recommended this product to me. I was super skeptical at getting the SPF 30, but thought "what the heck, I'll burn anyway...this might just make it happen 2 minutes sooner."Spoiler alert! I DID NOT BURN! Not even a little. A full week spent on the beach, in the ocean, swimming pools, and on a golf course. Nothing. NADA. NO RED!!! No peeling skin!! No agony!I didn't even have to reapply ever 30 minutes like usual. I reapplied once the first day after spending a solid hour in the ocean with the waves beating on me. The next day, I didn't. And still didn't burn.Plus, it is not greasy, doesn't smell to high heaven, my kiddo didn't complain about it getting in his eyes, and my skin is super well hydrated now. This stuff is a straight up MIRACLE! I also have more than 3/4 of the tiny bottle left after using this on 2 adults and 1 child at the beach for a week.I finally found the holy grail of sunscreen!

Unimpressive customer service and product quality for a $$$ product
First, the good: I like the way it feels on my skin. The consistency is like if you were to leave the face stick sunscreen in the sun. It didn’t feel heavy and I could wear it under makeup with no problem. It even felt like it moisturized. The bad:1) I expected great customer service, but when I reached out to Skinnies directly to let them know my product only had a couple of months until expiration (compared to the 24 months I’ve seen them say elsewhere on Amazon), they simply said their manufacturer put the wrong expiration date (2020 rather than 2021). They told me to reach out again when I ran out and they’d give me a coupon of some sort. To me, that sounds like an excuse!2) The tube starts feeling half empty after the second or third use. Lots of air pockets! You also do end up using more than they say to use because it feels like you’re just rubbing dry skin if you use a pea sized amount.3) The tube broke. After the second use, product started coming out both ends because the top of the tube came unglued. Again, doesn’t make me confident on their QA process.4) Lastly, the product gave me a horrible rash. Disclaimer that I do have sensitive skin and can break out, but I have never ever ever in my 39 years gotten a rash this bad from sunscreen and I’ve tried them all!I’m not listing this as a con since this is a sunscreen and not a sunblock, but my kids tend to get very dark in the sun and this product didn’t seem to stop that. Maybe they were protected from the harmful UV rays, but I’m going back to our trusty white zinc oxide.

Great Feel and Protection (from what I can tell)
First of all I would like to say that this product now states WATERPROOF for 80 MINUTES, not 40 (see photo). I did not know this when I bought it, and it was a happy surprise upon opening the package!I tried using the pea sized blob, but found I needed more when I got to my neck. Maybe I *didn't* need more, but my hands felt dry and were dragging my skin, so I used about another half-pea sized blob to finish my neck. After going on a long walk, about 1.5 hours, in the sun with my dogs in partly cloudy 90 (F) heat, I didn't have any redness or skin irritation, I also had no burning sensation in my eyes, and I couldn't taste it in my mouth, even though I was sweating.I know it is nearly impossible to really tell if a sunscreen is working, especially from micro-brands, but this one seems to really work, and I really like that it is reef safe and you only need a small amount for your face/neck area. No odor and didn't get sticky.
