Game changer
This is the third surgical shoe I tried and while there are parts of it that I'm not fond of, the pros so out weigh the cons because it is miles above other shoes. The key feature is that, unlike other ones that claim it, this one actually has a rocker bottom. You don't notice the difference as much when you're taking a few steps here or there, but if you actually want to walk in it the ability to roll from heel through the foot to the toe makes you actually able to have a real gait. No it won't be as if you were wearing two regular shoes but the pace and lack of wobbling (from uneven legs and one not moving as the other) is such an improvement that people don't tend to notice I have the shoe on. Other shoes that claim to have rocker bottoms genuinely did not, or at least not nearly to this degree. Now the bottom is all hard plastic which makes it a little slippery and scratchy on some surfaces, though I have not slipped at all. Also heaven forbid you get a little bit of dust or gravel on your shoe and you are making scratchy sounds everywhere you go.I bought two of these because I wasn't sure which size and the one was deformed on the sole of the shoe. It's supposed to be completely flat but it had a large bump in it that would render it completely unusable to anyone recovering from a foot injury. I'll assume that was a one-off and didn't remove any stars because of it.It's worth noting it is slightly cushier than other shoes but still firm. Also, because it has a genuine rocker bottom, it is a little taller than other shoes. However it's still not tall enough that I can use the evenup on my other foot even on the lowest setting. I do notice the height difference, but whereas with the other shoes I started getting hip pain in my good leg, with this one, because I can roll off the foot so smoothly, there isn't as much jostling or downward motion onto my good leg so I don't get nearly as much hip pain even though the height difference is slightly greater. The sizing surprised me, I wear a women's size 8, 8 and 1/2 if I need extra width, and my toe goes to the very end of the women's medium. I should be wearing the large, but that's the one that came with a deformity so I went with the medium because my injury is not to my big toe so I did not think there was too much risk. Every other shoe I've tried on I've been a size medium or even small with plenty of room to spare, so these definitely do size smaller than others but per the size chart. But if you're close to the top of the range or in between sizes, definitely size up.

Will work for intended purposes
Little long but it’ll be fine when I have surgery! I’m undergoing my fourth foot surgery this summer for a bone spur on the top of my foot. I’ve used surgery boots in the past (bunions and bone spur on ankle) and was thrilled when my surgeon said I’d just need a shoe this time around! I like to have backup so I don’t bring outside inside. This shoe fits well and I love that the Velcro can be trimmed. For size reference I wear a children’s size 3, so finding surgery boots and shoes can be difficult as pediatric is always too small and adults too big. This shoe is a little long, but when my foot is wrapped in gauze it’ll be just fine!

Works
It hurts around my ankle but otherwise with a rocker bottom works.

Great post-op shoe
This post off she was actually a better quality than the one I got from the Urgent Care I went to with a broke foot. A lot of the adjustment to change the size if need be.

Would buy again
Well made an as comfortable as such a device can be. Would buy again. I have wood floors and steps. I do not find them slippery

Runs short
Purchased a men’s medium. I wear a women’s 11. It was supposed to fit a women’s 10 1/2 to 12. It is short. At 11 and my toes are on the very edge. Not sure who’s supposed to be fitting this but definitely not a large footed woman. The men’s large looks like it would be extremely huge but it probably runs small too.

Doesn't last long before it BREAKS
1. This boot was very comfortable.2. I wear a men's 9 or 9 1/2 - I bought a Medium and it was the perfect size.3. The sole looks like it's made of solid rubber, so I expected it to LAST. After wearing it for 2 weeks, it broke in half all the way across under the base of the toes. When you look inside the cracked area you can see that it is NOT SOLID. (I tried to show that in the picture.) I actually tried glueing it together with Gorilla glue, but that only held for a day or 2 before it cracked completely thru again.4. The shoe actually BENDS too much when walking. This makes it easier and more comfortable to walk, but it defeats the purpose of wearing a fracture boot for a fractured bone of the foot!5. If this boot was made of SOLID RUBBER it would be a great product, especially because it fit so well!6. Sadly, all the similar boots on Amazon had the same reviews - they break in half after a few weeks. So since I need to wear it for a few more weeks, I broke down and bought another one of these. Grrrr!UPDATE - I got my 2nd shoe. This time it didn't last 2 weeks. I only wore it for 4 DAYS before it broke in the exact same place.I returned it.
