Appbot-LINK, The First Ever Smart Home Security Robot(IP Camera Robot) with WiFi Controlled and Auto Charging System Made in KOREA

It's worth it. The initial setup was difficult... so much so that I had to take a break hoping it would work on it's own, but I had to keep at it, so 2 days later, I got it to work. The problem with the initial set up is that it wasn't being found on the app. I had to remove the robot from the app, reset the robot, and start all over. Problems there too, as the robot had issues resetting. I had initially got it working previously, but turned it off to test it (BIG MISTAKE). I immediately regretted doing that.Once I got it working, again, I took it for a test drive and ran through all it's functions. I have yet to figure out why it's not sounding an alarm when motion is detected, but that's not important to me. I have it neatly tucked away underneath a couch that it can view from and pop out when I want to drive it around (at home, or at work... to show it off of course).Overall this is a great find if you can get it set up. I didn't have to contact the seller or anything, because I wanted to figure it out myself and did.

I received my Appbot-LINK robot a few days ago and while I am not impressed with gadgets all that often, I am impressed with the Appbot-LINK. Originally marketed as a toy, people quickly found out that an Internet controlled movable webcam with an LED light, face and motion recognition, audio in/out, a camera that can be moved up and down, and an ability to find its way back to its charger through the press of a button (a la Roomba) could be so much more - like the smart home security label currently being used. I am not sure how the robot will hold up over the long term - the charging base is so thin and light it seems like packing material and the device itself is very light and simple - but so far, so good. Set up was incredibly easy and intuitive.My wish list for this robot would be to make it more rugged with a longer battery life, better night vision, and more "all terrain" capability. Currently, it will fall over when trying to climb onto a thick rug from the floor due to motor strength, no shock absorption for the treads, and the light weight of the device, though it has an interesting auto feature to attempt to right itself. These are wish list items, however, and for what you get for $200, I'm not complaining.I bought this robot to help me keep an eye on my house when I am on travel. I will have to make sure that there is plenty of light in the house so the robot an "see" and that it has a clear path on the floor when it moves around, but I can't wait to use it for this purpose.

This robot is the BEST,if this robot fell toward,you can control it to stand it up,but if it fell backward,you going to have put more time to get it up.While you are away at night,the room won't be too bright when the led light is turn on ,unless you want to paint all the walls in the house with bright white paint in a very dark rooms.It would be a good idea to add infrared lamps around the camera lens when going around the dark rooms and then turn on the superior high-luminance dome led lamp to scare away the intruder before entering the house or there another way to do that,add a clapper to the outlet, plug in the house lamp and the radio,have the Appbot robot to go toward the clapper and yell at your smartphone!

Well, this robot is an engineering masterpiece! Works flawlessly, simple setup, functional mechanical design, simple and nice software, excellent video and audio communication. I'm very impressed!

I live this robot! I use it all the time since I travel. Battery doesnt last long is my only complaint.

The robot does not stay connected to the router. After anywhere from 1 to 3 hours the blue connection leds stop flashing and the robot no longer will connect to the application. No way to recover if you are remote.

Significant battery issues. Mine lasted less than 2 weeks before the battery died with no chance of recharge. Company is in Korea, so don't expect ANY support. Emailed them with NO response. Buyer beware!!!!
