Strongest suction, reliable, sealed HEPA filtration, easy to self-service, "hush" mode
The 1,200 Watt motor truly provides best-in-class suction. In use it is lifting the carpet, and to me it really can provide single-pass vacuuming. That is really deep-cleaning the carpet. The vacuum is used for commercial use, and I mean 1.5 to 2 hours daily. So, go through a lot of their bags. Their AH10243 allergen bag traps everything, and doesn't tear in the bag chamber unlike some cheaper made products. The HEPA filter snaps on along the side of the bag chamber and is easy to clean and change. There is this Hexagard carbon filter that mounts just inside before the HEPA filter, too, that is supposed to help reduce odor from the vacuum. What I really like is that Hoover made is super simple to remove the brushroller to clean it. No need to go hunting for a screwdriver and fear of losing screens. The original belt still looks new. Finally, there is a "hush" quiet mode which slows the motor and cuts the operating noise while vacuuming around people. It DOES reduce suction; however, it is a very thoughtful feature. Bag, belt, brush, filter changes are super easy. Tools onboard are easy to get to, and the hose is plenty long. If needing a longer hose that is what the cannister vacuum is for. The body seems build sturdy, too. So with that sturdiness and all those tools onboard, the penalty is weight. When tilted back there is more weight in hand (true of all these tools-onboard vacuums). And the generous 40 feet cord means you are carrying 20 Lbs. Luckily, there is a convenient carry handle built into the lower cord hook, and it does help a lot.Overall, a very thoughtfully designed vacuum that just keeps on working. The vacuum sucks up everything. Isn't that what a good, solid vacuum is supposed to do? I guess that is why Hoover is a very over in Britain where they say they are Hoovering their carpet.

Better than your average vacuum
Vacuum works good, high suction power and easy to use. Seems pretty durable as well, and easy to clean. Decent sized dust bag too. And look professional

Almost Great
This vacuum has some features I love & hate. As a custodian/Bldg. mngr I use a vacuum daily & once weekly on an 80'ร40' room. It has plenty of suction but the hose holder is easily broken. Notice sharp edges on lower hose keeper. The length of the detachable suction hose is slightly short for my reach & the tools are cumbersome to use & store...but they do their job. I love the cord...and how it's attached as a pigtail. I HATE that the brush roll does NOT stop when you pull the wand to suction thru the hose. A running brush roll can easily damage carpeting & hardwood. "ProTeam" vacs have brush roll cut-offs when you use the wand & when you put the vac in its upright position. Overall I'd rate this vacuum an 8 of 10...though I would not buy it again.

Don't buy if you're planning to use the hose and wand.
Lets start with the positive - very good suction, maneuvers well, has a loop type handle - easier to pull. However - two significant oopses one of which can make it unacceptable for many - first - not a big deal but uncomfortable for sure - you have to unwind the power cord to use the hose / wand and as I'm at it if you wind it the way it's designed - on a short loop, it's very bulky (perhaps it's why the pictures are always showing the vac without the power). Second - this may be a deal breaker for many - the hose stretches with ease only 3'4"-3'6", after that you start feeling the pressure backwards. You can still stretch it to approx 4ft but it's becoming very uncomfortable to use the wand. You can further stretch it to approx 5ft but it's almost impossible to work the wand at this length. Pass the 5' the you will pull or tip the vacuum. If doing stairs, assume you'd be carrying the vac, not a big deal for me but I'm in gym 3x a week. For most people this will be super aggravating. Also the69db is for the lower setting. In full power the noise level is about 30% higher (my guess around 90db). Too bad I have to guess as the manufacturer does not give you this information and I posted this question but received no response (because it get noisy, of course). Personally I don't care for as long as it delivers great suction and it does. The hose rigidness however disqualifies the vac from more than one star. Add on top the cord winding on short loop which blocks the wand and the one star might be even too much. But if you're looking for just the vac with good suction - this one pulls coins without hesitation - go for it. Although a bit of warning here - as it picks up stuff perfectly from bare floors (nothing left and nothing spilled behind the vac), it does not work well on entry floor mats with w groves. Leaves sandy stuff in groves and requires using wand to get it cleaned. For one mat in residential setting not a big deal maybe but for commercial use rather a deal breaker, I'd say.
