This was a gift for our son who is a Speed Cuber. While this is definitely not a speed cube (not meant to be) it does work just fine and yes, you can keep a few valuables inside - just don't leave it around a Rubik's Cube Convention :-). It is possible for it to "unravel" but putting it back together can be thought of part of the fun (this is really just when you open it up - the lid especially needs to be handled with care--but no big deal to slide things back together).

Really awesome but jinky cube. Its works as intended but it's a really loose cub and the top will also fall apart if not held properly.

All the colors are correct, yellow/white, red/orange, and blue/green, but it's a mirror image of the original color scheme. No big deal to me though. The issue I have with the cube lies in the fact that anyone who can solve only two sides can open this if they know which side is the lid. Better designing could fix this. The cube turns great, it won't fall apart unless you spin it while it's open, but it's very easy to put back together if you pay attention. Worth it? Yes, but would I dare store anything remotely important? No. Also a small hollow sphere designed to fit inside and store your items without interference with turning would be nice

I bought this for my son who is an avid cuber and loves boxes. at 9 he saved up his money to buy a realtors lock box...so he loves anything that locks. even though it's not a speed cube it still turns very easily. just remember that to get what's inside you MUST solve the cube so if you can't solve a rubix cube you might want to learn first.

We just received it a few minutes ago, and it literally fell apart as soon as we took it out of the box. My child is crying, 😢 wouldn't recommend this, we are very disappointed

My daughter was so surprised when she got this for her gift. We had read previous reviews and decided to try it anyway. Turns good. Looks good. My daughter is very happy with it.

Concept is neat, but the cube itself is kinda lame. It's really hard to turn, and you only need to solve the top two layers to open it. Also, as you might tell from the picture, they don't use your standard rubik's cube color orientation.

This is a nice little gadget. you solve it and one side comes off to reveal a hidden chamber inside. Although, I struggle to think what I would put in there. It turns pretty well, better than you'd think with it being hollow and all.
