A very well structured resource
Aimed at late beginners or early intermediate players (but to be honest would suit beginners who were getting their chords down too). It is spot-on and is by far the best resource for learning Blues Guitar that I have come across.I love the way that all the elements are included in each section (chords, rhythm, scale, lead parts and a turnaround). The lessons are bite sized and meant to be done in a day although not completing them all in a day isn't a big deal. 14 days, after all, is a bit on the ambitious side.Could have done with having the IV-V change included but the author has replied to my query about this and says that he didn't want to overload learners and has left this for the 7th and 14th day reviews. It doesn't take much to dig out the necessary chords for the rhythm part that's missing. And, I-IV-I makes up the vast majority of the blues progression anyway. This doesn't take away from this excellently organised and well thought out learning resource for guitarists like myself.A job well done in my opinion.

Step by step for learning blues guitar.
I really like this book. You would be pushed to cover all this in 14 days though. It is 14 chapters each divided into bite sizes sections. It is important to move on at your own pace. The audio is really easy to access. You go to the website and tap on the book you are using.I have tried to download so many useless and unusable audio codes in the past but this one is really easy. This is definitely the best blues guitar book I have used.

Good concept but not for beginners
Everyone learns differently, for me the concept of structured lessons with X amount of time on each one works really well. The author himself points out that you don't have to give the full 90 minutes per day to the lessons, rather you can allocate a shorter time and repeat the whole lot, if you wish. So there are a lot if good points. The embedded audio is great also, there's nothing worse than having to move away from your kindle to find something to play downloaded audio examples. The bad point for me is how quickly the learning curve rises, by day 3 I was struggling, and I've been playing for a while (although I'm not a great player by any means). But I found it very off-putting that the licks were so far beyond me, so quickly. Maybe that's my perfectionist streak? I suppose you could do your best with them and then repeat the whole process a few times.Bottom line, nice concept, embedded audio a major plus, best suited to an intermediate player (one who is comfortable with hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides etc). The 90 minutes a day is unrealistic for most people, but shorten your time and you've got a good, but challenging learning programme.

Very well thought through.
Only 46 pages long but very well thought through and written in plain English. Set up to allow a step up on each day. The lessons cover; chords, scales, rhythm, harmony and technique, turnarounds and lead licks. Well provided with audio files and a couple of bluesy review pieces. You need to work at it and for development beyond the lessons, a lot will depend upon your creativity but with the correct amount of application the book does deliver. At the price this is for me a very good buy.

Excellent book to learn the blues.
Best book on learning blues I've ever read. Most tutorial books tend togo from very easy straight to very hard. This book is for your intermediate player to be able to adapt to a blues style. Never have I been more impressed with a tab tutorial book.
