Equinox Barber & Salon Styling Series, Barber Hair Cutting Scissors/Shears, 6.0" Overall Length

I'm not in love with these scissors, I would have wanted something longer and pointier, perhaps. I presently have another pair with black handles which are longer and pointier, ("Office Pro" is etched onto the side of the blade), and they work pretty good for my long hair, which I'm cutting myself by parting my hair as for pigtails, then bringing it all to the front and cutting across. This method is incredibly fast and easy and it doesn't give a clean line in the back once finished, and it doesn't give layers, but it's darned good for getting the right length with a decent V profile in back. So, for this method of cutting, straight across a large section of hair .... these scissors are a little small. I haven't tried them for this technique that I use, yet, because I just cut my hair recently, but I just know that these are on the small side for this technique. I see them more for adding layers and stuff like that.I really wanted to test them out, so I decided to cut little wispy sections at my ears and the middle of my forehead, and wow, these were fun to use for that because they're so darned sharp!I'm still keeping these because the quality is great and with great quality comes more potential, and so with use, I may switch to these as my main haircutting scissors or come up with new ways to use them, and then just use the pointy black ones for crafts.So that's my little haircutting story, and I really like these scissors, but wish they were offered in a larger size. I recommend them, though, because you can't go wrong with good quality.Also, if anyone's interested, they can be held up with a magnet. I have an array of cuticle scissors, toenail scissors, a nail file, etc., held up by magnets on the inside of my medicine cabinet and I just added these to the collection. They don't really hold strongly with the magnets I have, but they do hold. I know a lot of people say that stainless steel is not magnetic .... but I don't think that's true, at least in every case. My cuticle scissors (actually, curved embroidery scissors) are shiny and certainly stainless, and they hold the magnet very well. So anyway, my point is that you shouldn't let their moderate magneticness deter you from buying these, and you should consider their magnetic abilities to be a bonus. You could even store these in a drawer with a magnet attached to them, and add snap hair clips or duck billed metal hair clips to the magnet to use when cutting hair, and so all of your supplies would be held together in one bundle by the magnet. I do that with my snap clips and bobby pins, to keep them magically accessible and separated from the elastics and scrunchies.

Great quality for such an inexpensive pair of barbering shears! Purchased as a practice pair for my daughter who’s in a cosmetology program while in high school. She said she likes them better than the shears that came in her cosmo kit. They are sharp, feel good in the hand and cut well. Very happy with the purchase

Works great! Feels great in the hand. Extremely sharp. It's always hard to pick which scissors in a sea of scissors available on Amazon. Glad I picked these, they work great! I tested with a chunk of thick hair and it sliced through like butter! I tested on my head hair and beard hair - works great on both for cutting clean straight lines. I also like that the knob adjustment has a lock so that it doesn't loosen over time on it's own. Also remember to hold the scissors the proper way. You can find videos in the review section like I did. I would recommend for sure :)

They are sturdy, sharp, and, precise scissors to help keep my ends neat and reduce split ends. I'm pleased with the purchase. I did not give this purchase five stars because I recently purchased the scissors. I want to make sure they hold up and they stay precise for a while before I deem them to be a five-star review .

These days, I am pleasantly astounded to perceive quality for a reasonable price. These scissors impressed me from the moment I opened the package: the heft, feel, finish, and precision. They passed the test of cutting individual hairs instead of having the strands become folded between the blades. Don't be trimming your bangs or beard with a pair of scissors that you bought in the supermarket. Buy these instead.

Wonderful hair cutting scissor, the grip is nice and does not hurt your palm, fingers fit in well, sharp, not dull, color is nice stainless steel, use it to cut hair, the thickness is just right to cut hair. I use it to cut all of my family's hair when needed.

Great quality, very sharp, easy to use. I bought them to trim my bangs in between my hair appointments - I'm not a hairdresser by trade. They were what I needed to accomplish the task and very easy to use. I am left-handed, but that didn't make a difference with these scissors.

These scissors are so sharp! The handle grip is comfortable and the overall design is good. I love the bright, shiny finish. They look more expensive than they were.
