One Gear no Fear, that’s what you tell all your friends when they ask you how many gears your bike has. Our 6KU Fixie is all about the simplicity. How many gears does it have? One. You know what that means? You spend more time riding your fixed gear, then fixing your ride. It’s steel frame and fork take those rough roads, and smooths them out like a cadillac coupe deville. You can set your fixie up as a single speed, or flip that rear wheel, and show off your whip skid skills. Whichever way you ride your fixie, you’ll be enjoying every minute of it.

DANGEROUS - poor build quality
I know a large chunk of the reviews are as a result of poor packaging, but I wanted to point out something which seems far more relevant to the majority who have their bike arrive intact: I think the low-quality of the components actually make it DANGEROUS to ride. And once you swap out everything you can, there's not much left and you've spent as much as a far more expensive bike. Please give an up-vote if you read this, not because I have anything to gain, but because I (and apparently others) have been put into danger because of parts on this bike which should NEVER fail on a bike.I've been riding this in NYC a couple times a week for the past year, and I really wanted to love it. It looks sleek (although if you think you're being original, there's lots of Critical bikes on the road here) for sure. I've never crashed it, keep it indoors, take care of it in all the nice ways I've previously taken care of bikes 10x the price. And aside from replacing some cheap basic components, listed below, I thought it was doing fine until last week. I was doing a standard brake stop when all of the sudden I felt a weird flex- I stopped and saw that the handlebar on one side had bent, come apart, and almost tore off the bicycle. All I was doing was holding the handlebars and braking. Luckily, I had already slowed down, since this happening at high speeds in NYC traffic could have spelled my death. I know I'm not the only one with this experience, from reading a couple other reviews. Do you want to take the chance with your life on a bike which could come apart under you? I replaced the bars, but now I'm worried about the rest of the frame. Handlebars are not supposed to break, and maybe might be a warning for the rest of the bike. All that aside, its pretty inevitable that other things will need replaced, and buying a bike for even twice the price will save you money and possibly your life. All of the components listed below broke quickly within a few weeks of normal riding. No tricks or crashes or riding stairs or anythingTires: the stock ones don't hold high pressure and puncture super easily. Don't even feel like the same material of quality tires. At least $50 for a new, decent setBrakes: pads wear down to nothing quickly and the brakes themselves are flexy and don't grab well. At least $20 for a new pairPedals: if you want to try to do the classic fixie skid-stop, you'll need new pedals and straps. At least $40 together.Chain: immediately stretched, and broke soon after. At least $15 for a good chainHandlebars: when these broke on me, the cost of getting new bullhorns and wrapping them was $60. And those were the cheapest in the shopThat's nearly an extra $200 I've put into this thing, and I still don't have piece of mindIf you are wheeling slowly around your quiet suburb, it might work fine for a bit (I'm assuming this is what the people with positive reviews are doing, or maybe they just put it together and thought it looked nice). If you are doing any sort of commute where a failure could be dangerous, think about this. If you are riding fixie and the chain breaks or stretches, the pedals they give you don't give you traction to skid stop, the tires pop, the brakes fail, or the handlebars snap, it may be your last bike ride. If that doesn't happen, you'll run through the terrible components fast enough you probably should have just bought a bike with nicer parts insteadI've contacted Critical and am waiting to hear back. Just be warned

Poor build quality+cheap tires = NOT HAPPY
I have this bicycle a 1 star because of build quality and cheap tires. The quality of the tires on the bike are terrible. It says to inflate them to 100psi but by 70 psi the tire is bulging out of the seams and out of the side of the rim past the tire. I took the bike for its first maiden voyage which was a brisk 13 miles. By mile 3 the rear tire had burst and the front tire lumped in two separate spots. In that same time the quality of the finish on the bike is sub par. The front forks do not mate well and I had to bend the bottom pieces where it's supposed to be flush, to actually be flush to sit against the nut.The wheels were not trued properly. The bike just is not there for the price of it.I am 200 lbs and 6ft tall btw so I'm no where near their max weight size of 250lbs.I was told nothing but positive about these bikes in other reviews online and other people who have bought them but I guess maybe other people had different experiences and maybe I got a lemon. But I'm not happy at all.I have now ordered a set of kenda tires and michelin tubes from Amazon so we will see what happens. I will make another review after I get the new tires.

BEWARE: Bike could snap in half while riding.
The bike is "instantly" cheaply made. While riding down hill the handle bars snapped in two and I was so lucky I did not crash and die. When I reached out for a replacement they only offered me new handle bars ?!?!?!?!!? Im a avid riding and I have real concerns for peoples safety with this bike. If I where you I would buy something with a brand name so you know it was properly made.

Gets faulty and becomes a huge hassle overtime.
I've had this bike for a year and for the first 2-3 months I got this - it was working fine. Since then it just started to go downhill and became a huge hazardous (dangerous) piece of junk. Keep in mind, I don't do anything crazy with this bike or go on trips/hikes/etc or go up and down large hills. I use this to commute from my apartment to my university which is about 1 mile away, as well as to get around my large campus. I can't count how many times I've gotten nearly into serious accidents (though one major one) and spent to get parts of this bike "fixed". First off one of the handle bars cracked while biking. Second, the CHAIN would get stuck and sometimes POP out while I'm biking! I'm going at maximum speed and I have to pull over, luckily my breaks work "ok" and I stop to the side. The chains are off and I can't pop it back in because I don't have a kit or tools to take with me and I'm still .05+ miles away from campus. Third, the tires are whack and one time I was biking the tire in the back was wobbly and shaking. I don't know why or what - is it the material made but this is expensive and isn't worth it for the price/quality - it just gives me stress and burns holes into my pocket/wallet - and makes me feel unsafe. I wouldn't recommend this at all. Oh the Matte Black bike frame gets scratched SO easily, for no reason!
