Putumayo Presents: Christmas Around the World Audio CD – CD, October 7, 2003

This is my favorite Christmas card! My kids love it too

As other reviewers have mentioned this CD is similar to Putumayo World Christmas. This one is issued several years later and kept the few good selections from the former and added several more. Most of the songs on Putumayo World Christmas are not even vaguely recognizable as Xmas songs. It would seem Putumayo recognized World Christmas as a weak disk and reissued as it as an updated version (this one). Get this disk and pass on Putumayo World Christmas. Better yet get :A Jazz and Blues Christmas", which is not especially worldish but is excellent.

I love Putumayo in general, and have a particular affection for their various Christmas albums.This one is varied and excellent, as I expected!Very recommended if you like Christmas music, but have gotten bored with the mall-type selections! (as are their other Christmas albums.)

This a truly unique blend of Christmas music. We first heard this being played when we were in a gift shop in Puerto Rico last December. It is not typical holiday music but nonetheless it is now one of our favorite albums for the Christmas holidays. The proceeds all go to great causes which is a Christmas giving boost.

Love it but would prefer less US artists and more countries represented

every year I try to find a different type of Christmas cd to give to my daughter as a present.

My Mom is a teacher and she loved it!

Bien, estas son canciones navideñas tradicionales pero son de diferentes lugares del mundo y con un toque especial de cada país y este es su encanto.Saludos

Original, écouter des chansons rhythmés à leur ou le petit Jesus ést néé....L'année prochaine, on commencera à écouter ce cd pour ce mettre dans l'ambiance...De très jolis morceaux choisie par les fondateurs de Putumayo....j'adore la collection et celui-ci en particulier !!!
