Exactly What I Wanted in a Bulletin Board
I love bulletin boards for their practicality. Anything I don't want to lose on my desk, I pin on my board. My last one died after years of use, so I went with Board Dudes 24x36 Oak Style Frame Cork Board. The oak frame really adds to this board. My previous board just had a basic cheap-looking fram. With this oak frame, it classes up a basic cork board and looks rather nice in my office. The board is the perfect size, and fits nicely behind my desk.My only "negative" is that it's kind of a pain to hang. It comes with 4 L-shaped brackets. You have to screw the brackets first into the wall (2 on top and 2 on the bottom) - it can be tricky to get the brackets even with each other, and then the proper distance from top to bottom (in fact, my board is slightly crooked). Then you have to place the board between the 4 brackets and screw the bracket into the board's frame. You definitely need a power drill of some sort (mine's just a small drill, which worked fine). But this is a lot more work than simply hanging the board by a wire onto a nail. The upside is the board isn't going anywhere. No matter what you pin on it or where you pin it, the board stays put on the wall.Overall, I like the board and would buy it again. As long as you're prepared for the installation and have a drill, then you should be good to go.

Cork Board from Board Dudes
First, the item itself arrived in perfect condition and is just fine for my needs and for a great price to boot. Please note that the description reads "Oak Style Frame". It does not say "frame made of Oak" and it certainly is not. It appears to be man made veneer that covers the frame to give the appearance of wood grain. Upon close inspection you can see that it is not wood. However, who stands around inspecting the frame of cork boards? Most people probable wouldn't even notice. If you insist on your cork board having a frame made from real wood, this is not the product for you. Also for "made in USA" purists, the item is made in China.===> In regard to the comments on shipping damage: The box for the item was placed within a larger box which was very damaged upon arrival. Again, the item itself was free from any damage. A smaller/more narrow outer box and shipping material in the excess space would likely do the trick.

Disappointing - very poor hardware, thin cork, cretinous directions........
It's adequate at best The cork is very thin, and will not wear like older boards we've had, I suspect. The pins go into some kind of fiber board or cardboard behind the thin covering. The frame is nice, and appearance is good.Worst thing - hanging hardware is provided - it's not very good - and the instructions advise you not to use it! Never seen that before! They tell you instead to screw through the board itself into the wall. No gromets are provided to prevent the screw heads from tearing through the board if you do this, though. Also, the screws provided aren't long enough for that..A trip to ACE hardware for a little packet of D-ring hangers to attach to the back of the frame, and all solved, but an extra $4 or so on the cost.I'm not impressed with this, but kept it for months before unwrapping it (for my wife's office she' s been moving into), and had to unwrap to find the lousy hardware, so can't return it. This manufacturer needs to get their act together, though - provide hanging hardware and advise the customer not to use it? Crazy!

It just a simple board, dudes.
It's a bulletin board, how hard can it be to make it great? Well, the Board Dudes have done it twice for me, so I'm beginning to see a pattern. Yes, the packaging is a bit on the minimal side, but my board came through just fine. As a long-time financial analyst, I can understand the cost of more cardboard wrapped around the actual board v. the small benefit gained. The product photo accurately matched the actual thing I received. The thing is now part of my life, although it only a basement ornament and not even in a place seen by guests. This board is a fully adequate method to keep all the little things one must remember, or to which must be referred, in a place of easy access. Shopping anywhere else is simply not necessary.

EXACTLY what I wanted!
This is a really nice board and for the price can't be beat! I looked locally in town for a board but the quality was not good and the prices were ridiculous. Of course Amazon came through for me once again! As always! I made this into a jewelry holder and it was perfect size for that. The picture is my completed jewelry holder. I simply painted the trim in gold and cut fabric to fit the center and applied with spray glue. Then I added ribbon around the edges so you don't see any uneven cuts from the fabric. Ta da! Now my necklaces can hang without getting all tangled up in my jewelry box. It saves me a little bit of sanity and lots of time not untangling necklaces.

Nice and Sturdy
I ordered two of these boards, and am satisfied with their quality. The frames are actually heavier than I thought they would be, which I take to be a sign of quality. The cork itself appears to be thick enough to hold up to a good amount of use. The mounting hardware these boards come with, though, is ridiculous. Board Dudes give you tiny screws and hooks, which the instructions say to put on the sides of the frame (not the top). I didn't bother with the tiny screws, because they did not look like they would support the frame well. Instead, I drilled holes through the frame's sides and hung them on the wall using screws and wall anchors. They look very handsome on the wall.

Have to drill holes in the wall to mount this!
This is an attractive frame and I liked it. However - the "easy installation" description of mounting hardware is a joke. You have to drill holes in the wall first, insert a plastic anchor, insert screws, and line up slots on the back of the frame with the screws. If the person who is going to use this cannot drill holes in their wall for any number of reasons, buy something else. I felt the product description was misleading. I requested refund, printed the label, and shipped it back, have UPS proof they got it on Dec 14, NO REFUND YET. It was shipped in perfect condition.
