Vendor is Awesome, Lift Didn't Meet Needs
Item description showed Lifting Height as 56.57”. This is the max height of the top of the lift pole, not the height the patient's bottom is off the ground. Needed a lift to get patient bottom 40" off the ground/floor. Lift didn't meet needs. Vendor was great to work with and made everything right with a return and refund.

Versatile, Solid, Well-Designed Electric Lift
Bottom line (before my longer review): The PL350CT is really well-built, easy to use and makes transfers super easy and smooth. So far, this thing's been a game-changer since we got it for use in our home and for car transfers. The ability to fold this out of the way - and even pop it in the car trunk is wonderful.OK, now the longer review and my experience with delivery, assembly and general use:Before purchasing the PL350CT, we had been "getting by" with a cheap manual lift by another manufacturer that insurance paid for. It was always a bit clumsy and my wife never really felt safe in it - the hydraulic arm would drop slightly and other annoyances. So after a lot of research we decided to upgrade to the PL350CT with the idea that we could also solve the problem of easily transferring her to and from a car seat and her electric wheelchair. In our case, the PL350CT was on backorder and didn't actually ship for over two months from purchase. We were only informed of this by the shipping company after the delivery date had came and went and Amazon's delivery status read "Delivered". So, that part was frustrating, but once it shipped, delivery was smooth. I am mindful that here in 2022 when I write this, supply chain issues and shipping delays have been the norm for the past couple years, but communication is still key. When it did finally arrive, assembly went pretty smoothly. Just be aware that while this thing is portable enough and folds up, it's still pretty heavy to lift and move around folded. Bestcare has a lot of great videos that cover basic use and assembly of the PL350CT on their site and on YouTube - just search on the model number. There is a little matter of the way the wheels work when rolling it in the folded position - ideally the two wheels would lock into a position, but they still kind of flop around and have to settle into position sometimes. You can kind of get them in the same direction before you lift it up onto the two wheels - you just have to be careful. Still, super convenient to be able to fold this up quickly and put it out of the way in a corner - or even a closet. In general, the PL350CT is solidly-built and seems it will last. A couple other things to be aware of: If you only plan to use this for transfers to and from a wheelchair, car, etc, then the included U-shaped spreader bar is wonderful for these tasks. Moving the patient from a lying to seated position has never been easier and the lift excels at this functionality. I also appreciate the foot pedals to spread the base - so much easier than the handle on some lifts - and the wheel locks work nice too.Not a lot of directions on the battery maintenance, but in speaking with a dealer of these lifts it was recommended that we charge the battery after each use and daily to keep the battery operating at peak performance. I was told that leaving it sit for long periods can shorten the life - so keep it charged regularly.Should power on the unit fail for some reason there is also an emergency knob that when twisted by hand will slowly lower the patient in the lift down to the bed again.Using the lift couldn't be simpler. Just up and down buttons and the speed is appropriately slow for safety reasons. I really like having the clip on controller so you can stand back and operate the lift from lots of positions. Positioning the patient from reclined to a seated position is the main reason to get this and this functionality, again, works incredibly well. No real effort is needed and the patient is comfortable the whole time. The lift does all the hard work - as it should. If you're like us, we also wanted to use this for regular transfers inside the home - including toileting. For the most versatility we decided to get an additional spreader bar to give us more sling options (the plastic clip kind has been hard to find for this model). We got confirmation from Bestcare that their 2pt-Spreader Bar (model: WP-SBAR-PL2RW) works with this lift. If you search around online it's not clear this is the case, but it does. You lose a little height with that bar, but we were OK with that. Having both the included U-shaped bar and the 2pt spreader bar gives us a lot of options. I recommend having both bars if you'll be using this as your everyday lift in the home as well as car transfers. You'll also need to purchase the Arjo Cradle Clip Replacement Sling by Bestcare - On Amazon here: https://www.amazon.com/BestSling-Replacement-Slings-Arjo-SLMAA4000ML/dp/B07CMDP4M2I may revisit this review to update it if anything changes, but so far our few months of use with the PL350CT has been wonderful and it's been a great lift. It has made transfers really easy.

Heavy and dangerous
Ok first...what a pain in the butt to get it to operate after assembly. ONE - It will not operate with the charging cable plugged in...really...every thing I own operates with the charger plugged in. OK, and only charges with the RED button released in the operating position. But it won't operate with it plugged in and the display gives no feedback, just a picture of a battery, that doesn't match the manual, but apparently show full charge. The push the RED button down to power off, and the display still works ;seriously power is off now guys. Well the display in power off mode shows warning message: ATTENTION...replace or recharge battery now. So messed up. Once you spend 4 hours trying to get someone to return your call, all operators are always busy...screw you guys.....you find out the charger must be unplugged.TWO - The unit is really heavy, it is dangerous unless you are in great shape and strong.THREE - The Video on loading on their website makes it look so easy. Bullshit. The video shows him rotating it 180 to get the smooth side down so you can slide it up over the lip of your trunk. The casters spin sideways and the unit drops 4", and when one side goes first, you have to be strong and quick to stop it from tumbling over and killing your dog. Also when getting it out, you need to lock the casters before you lower it, other wise it will just roll away from the car and crush your dog again.
