The book covers Hitler (and his Nazi Party - NSDAP) as he rose to absolute power. His thoughts, personality and plans are covered as there was no National Socialism movement or party without him. Like the other books in this series, this volume has many easy-to-follow charts, graphs and maps to digest; making it a good reference guide. The volume does have some overlap with "World War II Data Book: The Third Reich". The detailed charts and maps are what I like best. Excellent data presented in this book. Nicely written and illustrated. The tables and graphs are well presented. Good excerpts from Nazi documents. Good read and reference.

It was very interesting. Not many people know what Hitler really had in mind. I have read "Hitler's War Aims by Norman Rich.

To the point , good narrative handling a huge and very complex subject . Considering massive books have been written on the subject this sums it up nicely and can be read within a day
