Really gorgeous, colorful, full page art of Ichigo and his Anime Pals..but you better love Ichigo!
Bleach lovers should totally get this. For so many really cool and colorful BLEACH cast pics, it's worth it. Granted, you had better have major mojo LOVE for Ichigo, our sub shinigami boy, cause it's mostly him with his main crew (Rukia, Renji, Uryu, Chad, Orihime). My main wish would have been more of the captains, vice-captains, and villains, even if it meant less Ichigo. But you can't complain about the quality or coolness factor. Many of the full or double-page spreads actually look like fashion spreads, as if the cast was showing up in an anime-world VOGUE or VANITY FAIR layout. The one where they're all Arabian in the desert--OMIGOSH. Uryu never looked so hothothot, and Ichigo is not far behind. There's a "beach and watermelon" double-pager for the boys who like girly attributes, as Rangiku, Yoruichi, Orihime are on ample display, with an amusingly annoyed (and flat) Soi Fon left holding the watermelon wedges. Hah.Love the action ones, swords and fighter-frowns. Love that there's a pull-out poster. Love that Ichigo can be so much sexier in color stills. I really love the one that is just him, full page, bandaged torso, bare feet, intense. Lovely use of color and details and atmosphere.I hope there's gonna be an Art of Bleach II that will feature those amazing Espada character designs, especially Grimmjow and Ulquiorra (those hotties) and the Vizards. And I'd like to see color pages of the assorted fabulous bankai manifestations, like Hitsugaya's and Ayasegawa's and Hisagi's. And I'd like to see the manifestations of the zanpakuto's. (I mean, Zangetsu should have some face time, and certainly Sode no Shirayuki and Hyourinmaru and Soi Fon's (Suzumebachi?), as they were so beautifully done.) Tite kubo can draw, and he's created some fabulous characters for this manga/anime.All in all, a lot of Bleach-y eye candy, but need a better balance in future volumes (if forthcoming) so it's not an Ichigo fest, but a balanced Bleach-Fest.

Beautiful artwork and beautiful colors
The All Color but the Black: The Art of Bleach book is absolutely amazing! The cover is awesome and I love that if you remove the cover sleeve it reveals what I am assuming is the rough line version of the artwork. The pages are vibrant and full of color. Very much includes a lot of black but it sure is amazing. The foldout poster is great as well. I didn't take a photo of it because I'm in the process of framing it. The artwork in this book is so great I am contemplating purchasing a second copy so I can rip the pages out and display them. I am a huge Rukia fan and there are a lot of images in the book that I haven't seen before of her, so it was an immediate 5 stars once I figured that out, lol. All in all, amazing quality, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes Bleach! 5/5 stars.

"All Colour But The Black" is an understatement...
You will be amazed at how vivid the colors are in this book. Any fan of the Bleach Manga will be dazzled by the colorful artwork. Not much, if anything, from the Bleach Anime Series is in the book. Many of the pages look familiar. Some are larger versions of the color cover artwork from the series. Some drawings appeared as black and white content. Some I have never seen before. The book has both Chapter 13 covers on side by side pages. Decide for yourself if there is too much gore. There are only a few words on the pages outside of what may be drawn in the pictures. No page numbers either. An index at the end gives a brief description of the plates. Be warned that much of this book comes from existing work that hardcore fans may be familiar with. But the quality of images and the size of the book are the selling points as much as the content. The book is in the Japanese Right to Left format, just like the manga, but there isn't any warning on the last page to remind you to start with the other end.The book is just under 12 inches tall and a bit wider than 8 inches. About the same dimensions as Newsweek magazine. It has about 70 pages printed on very high quality glossy paper, similar to a magazine. The painted graphics in the book are beyond description of how lively the colors are. Black is still the color of choice for the Soul Reapers. There is a Tri-Folded, double page in size, two sided poster that has a group shot of all the Court Guard Lieutenants and a group shot of Ichigo and friends in the "land of the living". The book has a nice dust cover. The title on the jacket says "All Colour But The Black" "The Art of Bleach". The author is Tite Kubo. This book would make a great gift for anyone you might know who loves Bleach and it isn't even that expensive.
