Q: I cannot unscrew the water brush to fill it with water. Has anyone else had this problem? I'm worried about breaking it!

Must be faulty then. May be cross threaded. If the pen is upright and held in the left hand , gently turn the top anti-clockwise. Failing that, you can dip it into the water but I suppose this defeats the object.

Q: Do these have proper brush tips or are they more like soft pointed felt-tips?

They are more like actual brushes.

They are watercolour, we found they came out easily with ordinary washing but I guess if it’s a more stubborn stain spray with stain remover before washing. My daughter always wears an apron or old shirt when painting.
