Cat loves these treats, but watch the ingredients
These treats are a favorite of my cat. I try my best to give him high quality products with no corn or byproducts, but he just loves these treats so much. They obviously have a delightful flavor because my cat will go to great lengths to get these treats. tThey are larger than other treats so he can see them better and we can have a more active playtime. We play the following games with these treats:1. Sliding the treats across the floor, trying to get them past the cat2. Lobbing the treat into the air and cat will catch them mid-air with his paws3. Throwing them into the other room and watching him chase them and slide across the hard wood floor. He loves these treats so much, but I feel conflicted letting him have them so often. I think of these treats as my cat's McDonalds. The top ingredients are Corn Flour, Chicken By-Product Meal, Corn Gluten Meal, Animal Digest and Ground Wheat. Not good. However, as I pick up the package to read these ingredients, I immediately get a cat running towards me, eyes dilated, lip licking and meowing- hoping for me to toss a treat into the air. How can I turn that face down?

The only treats my cats will eat!!
My cats love the Pounce crunchy treats, they won't even touch any other brand or even the Pounce chewy treats. And they are thriving on them. The strange thing is that none of my local supermarkets stock them regularly and the Pounce brand seems to get pushed aside by the Temptation brand. So when i can find them i buy in quantity usually taking every bag on the shelf.Last week i was frustrated, none of my local supermarkets had the Pounce Treats in stock. And i was running out. So i took a shot one night and tried Amazon, feeling sort of ridiculous ordering cat treats from Amazon...........and not only did they have them, they came with free two day shipping on my Prime membership, for less money than i pay retail and no wasted gas or time. Weird as it sounds, cat treats shipped to my door on two day notice. Excellent product and excellent service.

I guess it depends on the cat (s)
My mother bought these locally and I could not locate them. At the time, she was caring for my feral cat colony and they LOVE these! They could eat a whole bag that is how much they like them! I am a caregiver to 12 feral cats and every single one thinks these things are the best treats! The feral cats are in a transition mode right now. I had to relocate them to my new home up north. They are in an outdoor enclosed area until they know their surroundings. One part of the transition is giving them wet food and treats so they adjust better. When they hear this bag, they cannot get enough of them! I saw they were back in stock tonight so ordered more for the fur babies. Sadly, my spoiled indoor special needs cat does not like these at all. He walks away from them. But 12 feral cats are spoiled by these and think they are the best! That is a fairly large number and a lot of happy bellies.

No Takers... do dogs count...
With 18 kitties, I'm always getting some treat or other... Sadly this one didn't go over very well.As usual they all came running when the "bag shake" sound was heard... but almost all of them only had one or two before walking away. Leaving the rest for the dogs to clean up...This is a first... such a "mass" dislike of an item. Other POUNCE flavors have been well received... but not this one. We are talking...18...not just one or two kitties... Since I'm not the one eating them, all I can do is report my observation... I opened a different brand...tossed them on the floor, and they were readily eaten... once again, leaving the PounceTartar Control uneaten. As stated, the dogs love 'em... but I didn't buy them for the dogs...

The one treat my super finicky cat not only will eat, but demands.
Two cats in the house, one eats anything, and the girl will eat dry food and some wet foods. She'd occasionally eat one of those dried sardines/anchovies but she would not eat ANY other cat treats until these. Even these it took several minutes of sniffing before she decided to try them (and after seeing that, I really tried with other treat types again) but once she tried them, she LOVED them. Now our normal pig cat also loves them, but he'll eat the other treats too. Since I had trouble finding these treats at the store, I am glad they were available online and I don't mind buying 5 bags at a time. Now, when it is bed time, she makes sure she gets "her" treats while the boy gets his.

Great for cats who like catnip!
Hard to find in stores, I tracked down these treats here on Amazon after our local supermarkets seemed to have trouble keeping them in stock. Between my two cats, only one of them consistently enjoys them, and she is the one who has a much stronger reaction to catnip. My other cat sometimes reacts to catnip, and sometimes enjoys the treats. However, they both like them enough that I have them on subscription! Over the years I've had many cats who enjoyed Pounce products and I find this to be a good addition to their line of quality cat treats. The 5 pack is a good value for a hard to find product! If your furry friend has the "catnip gene" then I highly recommend giving these a shot!

My cats have always loved these. Our local Petsmart had stopped selling these
My cats have always loved these. Our local Petsmart had stopped selling these, and I previously had trouble ordering them with a different Amazon seller. Although these took a long time to arrive, it was worth it. It had been so long since my cats had this flavor, one attacked them like he was starving to death when I opened up the pack, even though he had just ate a lot of cat food, then he wanted more. The price was good. It is one of the very very few things that one of my cats can eat without throwing up, and he never gets sick after eating these.
