Simple, attractive, functional, modular, high-quality - everything it advertises
This desk is worth every penny. A+++ In fact, I am so impressed with it and the company that I’m writing my first review. It comes in excellent flat-packaging that is easy to ship and protects the components. There’s an instructional sheet on how to put it together, but it’s not necessary - it’s a simple, common-sense assembly. The pieces slide together with sufficient tightness that the structure is maintained, but not so tightly that it feels like you’re forcing them. That, in turn, makes it easy to reconfigure to fit your needs. And once you have your desk set up, it’s sturdy, sleek, minimal, sustainably-produced, attractive, modular, has a great satiny finish, and is just plain old great. In short, for me, it’s everything it’s advertised to be, and higher quality than I expected. If you want a simple, good-looking, functional standing desk combo, I think this is it, especially if you like to support independent small businesses. The only thing I’ll recommend is to consider purchasing another shelf as an add-on - it’s good to have a place to put your keyboard or papers or mouse or whatever. One other thing to note: the customer service I experienced really, really impressed me. I emailed them about a question/concern. The actual FOUNDER of the company emailed me back quickly and immediately answered my question. In fact, he told me that he took my concern so seriously that he was instituting an overall manufacturing change. Who does that?! Not those big-name-recognition companies.... The company’s response - which was done sincerely and honestly and without any request of anything, including a review, from me - is why I’m writing, at the end of the day. I feel like I can trust their products and like when (if!!??) I ever get back into my actual office, I’m probably going to purchase a full-size Readydesk, too. I know this review is glowing, but I’m not a bot, just another person working from home during this hard time - I’m simply that impressed with my Allstand and the company.

Great desk
I was worried this was going to be flimsy or silly looking. It's neither. It looks good (not AMAZING as it's really just some pieces of wood) and it is solid. I assembled it in about 2 minutes with no tools and just a little elbow grease. I love that it's very portable (it weighs less than my laptop) and by moving just one piece I can convert to the different modes.Highly recommend if you're seeking a sturdy, uncomplicated, versatile, nice-looking standing desk apparatus thingy.

Decent but needs to suit your needs to be worth it
For $60 it's fine, given that it includes shipping and ReadyDesk is a small business. The pros: it's sturdy, it's simple, it's functional, it's easy to assemble. I got it to fit into a very tiny desk space and it does accommodate that space perfectly. It also doesn't smell like weird chemicals, so I appreciate that. (It smells like wood when you open the package.)The neutral: If you have a lot of wires (and a mouse) it's kind of a hassle to use, so I recommend only putting a small laptop (on battery, not plugged in) on it. That might be a limitation. But its key usage seems like its versatility (as a tablet stand/laptop stand), and therefore probably also its portability. Now for the cons: I personally find it hard to dislodge the pieces once they're together, but I'll give the product the benefit of the doubt (as I'm very weak). When it arrived, it had a lot of saw dust, so clean it well before you set it up (it comes right off). I didn't take a star off for that, but I did take off a star because not all of it is finished, and I can see myself easily getting a splinter. My solution is to use decorative tape to cover those parts (maybe I'll get some sandpaper or paint or something for it), but it is sharp and catches on cleaning cloths so be careful during assembly.ALL IN ALL: I'm satisfied enough not to return it since it works perfectly for what I need it to do. But given that there were rough/sharp-ish parts (aka minor safety hazards), I'm not going to rave about it, either. I hope they make these things safer for future customers...

Well constructed, multi-use product, and well worth the value.
I use the Readydesk in three ways: (1) laptop stand-up desk (which is what I'm using it for right now as I type this review, (2) an editor's desk/reading surface (angled at desk-height), and (3) podium (standing reading desk or speaking from podium). This product is impressively well designed and relatively sturdy. I'm impressed for the price. It more than satisfies the needs for which I bought it. I'd recommend it to others. I also appreciate it's simplistic, simple design.

Simple, not ugly, big enough for a laptop.
This fits the bill! Easy to assemble, inexpensive, not hideous, and I could pack it away if I wanted. You can reconfigure the pieces into a small easel or drafting table as well. It’s more of a laptop stand than a desk, because only big enough to hold a laptop—not a big computer and nothing very heavy. It’s strong enough and big enough to hold a 17” MacBook Pro.

Nice product
This is a great laptop stand. My biggest concern was that it would be wobbly, but it isn’t in the slightest. Actually, I purchased two stands at the same time - the other one was one of those contraptions that has slots that fit into each other - but it was too big and bulky. This was the clear winner in its simply efficiency. I love it when the less expensive option works better!

Envy? You bet!
What, envy? Since March 13, 2020, I've been working from home. I miss my standup desk at the office, so I began to search online for a well designed, sturdy, & portable standup desk. The Allstand desk MET each of these needs! My wife has teaching from home and she has become envious of my desk. With this, I just ordered her a desk.
