NO CHEMICAL COATINGS IS APPLIED. All our Iron cookwares are pre-seasoned. Once you receive your product, Clean it completely using hot, soapy water and with dishwash brush.Wipe it with dry cloth,re-season the cookware with little oil. Leave it for 6-8 hours. Again wash it in normal water with soap, scrub it. Apply some oil again, heat it for 2 - 3 min. Allow it to cool down completely. Then wipe away excess oil and store in dry place to avoid rusting. Wash it with soapy water before use, apply some cooking oil and then start using it
