Extend your supplemental oxygen supply.
This product is a cannula that provides higher oxygen flow than what the regulator is set at for continuous use. Therefore extending The time on either a portable oxygen concentrators battery or supplemental bottle oxygen. The drawback is that the tubing is larger in diameter therefore bulkier and less comfortable. However it is a must have for extended day trips away from home. Set at 1L you receive 2 1/2 equivalent, set at 2L you receive 31/2L equivalent.

Works fairly well
Note that it states clearly on the papers that come with this and on the description that will only work with continuous flow oxygen. Personally I think $25 is a bit high so I will only be using it for those times when I know I will desat. The tubing is pretty thick and I have trouble keeping it behind the ears so it falls off easily. I am used to the thin tubing on regular cannula that goes behind the ears easily.I was skeptical at first but wanted to try something to get some independence back. I have been on home O2 for over 12 years now. As my COPD worsens I find I am experiencing unexpected periods of desaturation. That being said, I have used this for the times when I usually desat and found that even though I might get a little short of breath it is nothing like when I fully desat. This has actually given me freedom to do things without supervision again such as taking a shower and dressing. I am keeping this in a pouch on my motorized chair so that when I do have that unexpected desat I can switch cannula to recover. Before this, I had to just sit and wait for my sats to recover. I would say it gives me about 2-3 liters in addition to what I am on normally when I have these desat periods, which I need for a quick recovery. Unfortunately, there isn't one for pulse oxygen. That would be great for when I go out for doctor appointments or such. I can see if you are on a tank and use this that it could save you about 2+ lpm of O2 so you could be out longer. I am on 6 lpm so I use a concentrater which is pulse ox and this will not work with it.It is interestingly built. It has a big pendant that holds the extra oxygen. The tubing is thicker than regular cannula. It uses the same connectors as my regular cannula.I will buy another after this one wears out.

Very uncomfortable
The tubing is very stiff and uncomfortable to wear around the ears. The worst part is the nasal prongs. They are too large a diameter, which places them too close together in the nose. They also have a diagonal cut on the ends. This causes them to press and scrape against the inside of the nose, and is quite painful. You would have to have a very large nose for these to work, The tubing is twice the size of a regular nasal canula and is so stiff it will not lay against the face.

works, but uncomfortable
It works well for conserving my oxygen supply, but the cannula is much larger than normal ones and quite uncomfortable.

Way too expensive, badly engineered, limited lifetime not disclosed in listing
First, this does work, it uses principles observed by Tesla and the oxygen recovered is close to that claimed.Second, It has a limited lifetime, quoted as requiring replacement every 21 days in the included instructions, but not disclosed in the Amazon product listing.Third, it is way too expensive considering the limited lifetime and the inferior materials of construction, the cannula tubing is too heavy and thick and puts pressure on the nasal passages which, for me, causes nosebleeds. This could be produced in China for no more than $2.00 if that much. More flexible, lighter tubing should be used which would make it more comfortable, but likely raise production cost $0.25 - worth it given the current profit margin.Fourth, the nasal prongs are too sharp, adding to the discomfort, they have to be "field modified" to prevent nosebleeds, which can be easily, and carefully, done using an emory board or scan cutter.I have dealt with Amazon since it was born, they have not disappointed me very often, but this product did.

Not covered by Medicare, cheaper by Amazon.
IPF@ 7 lpm depletes ox tank slower when mobile; when used at 3.5 to 4 lpm. Over ear and nose parts very rigid and uncomfortable, but allows time away from home ox condensor, which is needed for Dr. Visits, etc...
