Very happy and healthy fry!
I bought two new Boesemani rainbow fish a few months ago. I had them in quarantine for about a month before adding them to my main display tank. I did not intentionally try to get my fish to spawn, but a few days after I took them out of the QT I saw six Boesemani fry swimming around! Later that week, my longfin peppered Corydoras had eggs all over my main tank, too. Needless to say, my QT is now a nursery/grow out tank! I bought this for all the fry-the 6 Boesemani are doing great and I have over 25 Cory fry that seem to be doing really well. I have started alternating feedings with this and baby brine. I’m so glad I used this fry starter, though. All the fun are doing wonderful! Now I need a bigger display!

Is Northfin really the best?
I will never use this product again. I have been keeping fish for years. I was talked into trying Northfin because it is supposed to be the best. I used this with my most current Red Shoulder African Peacock fry release, and I lost half of my babies! I usually lose 5 - 7 fry throughout the first two months. I lost 35 fry over the course of a week via using Northfin Fry Starter. The day that I switched back to the old fry food, then the fry stopped dying.

Koi fry love it on first day
My 13 day old koi fry love it on this first day. I knew I liked it because it's 100% krill (and the stink proves it). I hope it agrees with them and they don't die off.Nice thing is they float a long time. I tried the other fry food (first bite), but the granulars sunk too fast for me to know how much they're eating abd fir the fish to hone in on.It took about a week to ship abd our more days to get here so if all goes well, I'll be ordering more ahead of time.

Great starter for African Cichlids
My Yellow Lab surprised me with 20+ fry. As a relative newbie to African Cichlids, this is a first for me. In my search for fry food, I chose this one and another one. The other brand was way too powdery, but NorthFin Fry Starter was just right. My baby Yellow Labs are growing, and to my knowledge, I have not lost a single one.

Seems to be working
Good stuff. Smells awful but the betta fry are eating it so that's what matters

Perfectly freeze dried!!! Great for raising guppy fry on after they are a few days old.
I’m 100% happy with this very high quality food. It is freeze dried PERFECTLY! It’s not too “fried” and not too “oily.”This food size is a bit too big for new born guppy fry to eat. I start feeding baby guppies this after they are a few days old and only start with a TINY amount at first. I learned the hard way this food can cause issues..it has the potential to cause an ammonia spike if you’re not careful with uneaten food compared to uneaten hikari fry food or Serta fry food.

Really fresh and my koi fry absolutely ❤ it!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. My baby koi really really liked it. Most of it would stay floating but a small portion would sink and that was great because not all my babies would come to the surface. Use sparingly because it goes farther than you think.

Worried at first, but this stuff works
I needed some fry food after finishing hikari fry starter and decided to give this a try. The quantity is a lot more than the hikari first bites. I use those airplane travel safe liquid squirt bottles to dispense my fry food and I find the hikari poured smoother but it poured well enough. I was worried at first because the pieces are bigger than first bites and the fry didn’t seem like they were eating it, but after following through with feedings my platy fry are doing fine and none have died so it’s working and they are eating it.Usually I would crush up flaked food into a smaller pieces but some flakes for example omega tropical flakes tend to have a lot of moister and just end up clumping together making it harder to pour. I would buy this stuff again but probably not anytime soon since there’s a lot in a bag.

Not just for fry.
I use this food every day to supplement my other foods. All of my smaller fish, dwarf raspboras, englers, fry and even grown guppies, love this food. The little insect eating fish in particular go for this food. the ones that eat it seem particularly robust.

Amazing ingredients, super fine powder perfect for fry!
This stuff is great. My Zebra Danio Fry really seemed to love it. The package is much bigger than i anticipated and it showed up super quick. The ingredients are amazing and I feel good about starting my wee fishes off with great food! Definitely need to buy lots more!

Perfect food size for fry
The food is grinded into fine particles that can fit into my guppy fry’s mouths. Much better than flake food which is too big even when I use my finger to grind it. This food size is perfect for fry, but the smell is nasty. I have to take off 1 star of the smell.

Great stuff for tiny fry
As far as dry fry food goes this one is eaten most by my angel fry. Of course all fry benefit from live food too but I have raised angel fry exclusively on this and infusoria with great results. I just wet it with aquarium water and use my dropper from my test kit to pin point where i feed. Great stuff!! The only problem i have with it is that they only sell small bags of it or I would have given it 5 stars.
