I am reading this beautiful book about Kuan Yin and love what it is teaching me about how to bring her into my life on a regular basis. I am not done reading it, but so far, it has given me great information on how to bring Kuan Yin into my everyday life more... I highly recommend this awesome book about KUAN YIN...I actually do not want to stop reading it, and plan on using the affirmations, to help build a better world all around us... one that is so desperately needed right now for all.... I got this book knowing nothing about kwan yin. It is great for someone who knows nothing about her. It has prounciation of the mantras. I really love the lesson on the violet flame. I just read about it the night before some drama in my faimly's life came up and it was very effective at easing my mind about the issue. that alone made the book worth it.

I was caught between giving this book 2 or 3 stars. Ultimatly 2 and here is why.There is a lot of cultural mixing and meshing of spirituality, and the pictures of the hand mudras were not in detail enough to understand.However the awesome plus side of this book provides an excellent number of mantras associated with Kuan Yin. And the mantras given here is what makes this book worth buying if you ask me. I would just recommend going straight to the mantras.

I am Buddhist.This is really a mix of new-age/his own philosphical add-in's. Another 'ok-well-Not' book that needs to be seen before purchase.

Kuan Yin is always comforting and helpful. This book was very good and helpful.

A friend recommended this book when he learned we had read The Secret. This is a conglomeration of claptrap from various religions and pseudo-religions, with the caveat that all of it will work if you call on the name of Kuan Yin. Buh-loney!

Just what was needed

I had high hopes for this book upon reading other readers' reviews and was excited awaiting its delivery! It has WAY exceeded my expectations and for the past three days I have hardly put it down! From its beautiful violet starry cover featuring the towering statue of Kuan Yin at Nanshan Temple on China's Hainan Island, a comprehensive explanation as to her origins, embodiments, legends and reported miracles, the book is a profound page turner. Describing the usefulness of visualising violet light (which I found particularly interesting), the importance of focussing awareness through our heart, as well as regular back-up reference to Christian scripture, it also includes pronounciation guides to The Great Compassion Dharani Mantra, Heart Sutra and various other Mantras and so much more. The most satisfying book on Kuan Yin I have discovered to date - it gives me so much comfort to know that I now possess it.

Well what can I say, this book has all the history you will find in other much more sensible books on Kwan Yin, this book is full of new age ascended master, council of light, violet flame new age gibberish, were does this stuff come from?? some people with a overactive imagination, if you like this sort of stuff, then the book is for you, but it's not my cup of tea.

Very interesting read and useful tips. Have read it over and over again, giving me peace and contentment. Glad with purchase.
