Surprise, surprise!
Well now. Our little Fee surely is just one surprise. The things she can do, the hinge she has done, some without consciously knowing she had done them. And the other Dominus Reapers? My, what changes she has wrought in them. And now we have the other half of Fee’s parentage finally known…and what a surprise it is. And how badly is this going to mess with the reapers and Fee???

Can’t put it down
I love the main character, Fee. She’s getting stronger with each book and refusing to fit into the norms in her new world.

Fabulous!
I will just start off by saying…I did NOT see that coming, I did NOT see that coming either, and the cliffhanger…DEFINITELY did NOT see that one coming…so what now?!This book, this series is off-the-charts amazing! I cannot wait to get my hands on each of the books in this series; especially since Cassidy is truly showing her beautifully devious mind at work here, more so than any of her other series, to get all my questions answered. I am completely obsessed with this new world and these marvelous new characters. In this second book, the storyline starts to settle and some answers are provided yet a lot more pop up. This new world Cassidy is creating looks to have layers on top of layers with many threads to explore and develop and a lot of background to firm up. It is definitely exciting! More information is provided about Fee’s background with some teases of what is possibly to come along with a shocker concerning Cora as well as delving more into the fragile connections between Fee and the guys (Cohen, Az, and Mal). There are also definitely some connection-like vibes with Greyson and Uri too that I am looking forward to being explored. And there is so much delicious tension that is present in this book it really ramps up the excitement of what is to come! There are, however, still so many secrets being kept from Fee (and she is keeping a few of her own) that she is struggling to keep herself in check. The guys want to protect her and do right by her but they end up causing more issues with the secrets and deceit and by holding her back. Fee wants to prove herself, she knows she is ready but is struggling to get out from under the protection of the other reapers to show what she can do and be who she is meant to be. There are laughs, danger, action, pivotal shockers, devastating twists, a little bit of sexy, deepening bonds of friendship, new revelations, drama, and a whole lot of emotions and angst. This second book cracks open the doors a bit wider in this world and shares a few more secrets, yet also leaves us suspended in time, waiting for what is yet to come. This might be Cassidy’s best series yet!

Unsettling
To start, the story is good. A bit predictable only in that right at the pinnacle of each dramatic scene, everything goes wrong to create more drama and extend the struggle. There were a couple twists that were surprising. What I really didn’t like and that I felt ruined the “romance” part of this series (which I thought was paranormal romance, but maybe I’m wrong?) is that all of the main male characters have sex with other women in this story. All of them. And she doesn’t have sex with anyone. It’s just a regurgitation of the stereotype that men don’t emotionally connect during sex so it means nothing, like we just watched them blow their nose so we shouldn’t feel like it affects their relationship with the heroine, and then the heroine stays “pure” and doesn’t have sex with anyone else because it IS emotional for women. It actually sickened me. I don’t know how many readers out there have been cheated on, but watching the dudes that we know are supposed to end up with our heroine avatar getting off with other women is disturbing. Also, there is a graphic rape of one of the main characters. I won’t say who, but I would have appreciated a warning. I had to walk away for a bit from several parts because I needed to decide if it was worth continuing. I will at least be starting book three. I don’t like how this story left off. I don’t like how there are inconsistencies in the rules throughout the story about the deal that controls the three levels, but then suddenly they don’t apply to her? Maybe the author didn’t plan ahead to the next story and is writing by the seat of her pants? Ugg… Going to try book three, but this may be the end of this series for me.

Action packed!
The story takes a turn and we know more about Fee. This is so unreal, but awesome. Learning about Cora is a twist I did not see coming. This book enticed me and I'm sorry it was so short. But I loved the story line. Perfect for explaining Grayson part in it. I'm surprised Fee's not part witch. And whatever she freed will probably come back to haunt her as well as Lucas. I need to know the back stories of the guys more clearly because damn I've been going crazy trying to figure it out. Great job Cassidy. Gimme more ;-)

Ready for more
I am really enjoying getting to know the reapers, and this book has been so hard to put down. It has definitely been a surprise and I like that I have not been able to predict what's happening next it feels refreshing.

Good Read, but frustrating
Lots of action, lots of emotions, but also lots of frustrations when reading. Everything's a secret; things about Fee, feelings for her, feelings for the guys, lack of compassion for the little kids - I mean, I got to the point where it actually hurt, ached, to keep reading. But - isn't that the point of good writing? So, 5 stars for what a book is supposed to do - pull emotions out of you. However, I'm not sure I'll continue the series because, as I said, it hurt to read the chaos surrounding the characters. Who knows? I might change my mind...

Fee is just full of surprises
Poor Fee. This girl can never catch a break. So much more comes to light in book two. So secrets are answeredSome secrets we still want to knowMore kinds of supernatural beingsIt’s happy, bloody and so much going on in fees life. With the cliffhanger we knew would happen and can’t wait to see how Fee is gonna manage thatI don’t wanna give too much away as it’s a book you need to read and share fees journeyShe’s a very unique character and all these surprisesStill a slow burner but I think we are getting there and again I’m trying not to give the story away but I’m so happy for Cora. She’s a new supernatural I e never heard of and I hope she’s involved in book3 as I think our fee is gonna need her

Brilliant
Loved this book, and series. Fee was totally kick***, brave and Loyal. With so many twists and turns this series keeps you (and Fee) on your toes. With great pacing and storytelling, and a fascinating world full of colourful characters, I would recommend this series to anyone looking for an action packed paranormal adventure that also happens to have several hot loyal and supportive guys that complement our heroine perfectly.

Good read.
This was a good read. The plot unfolds well, the characters show more depth. Secrets get revealed but too late. The pacing was good and I look forward to book 3.
