It's ok - just the tablet clamp top you may eventually replace.
Pros: Strong metal clamp, and a solid yet flexible metal goose neck which has a semi thick rubber tubing protecting the metal flexing support.Cons: ...semi ruined by the weak as heck toy's-r-us tablet plastic clamp. I can't believe how up to that part, the plastic clamp does somewhat hold it in place...but, is weak at the ball of goose neck to plastic clamp connecting joint. If your tablet is heavy it will slowly tilt over. You can easily break that part too, attempting to adjust the size I realize the kick-stand on the back the flips open is actually unlocking the ends to adjust for your tablet.Right now I set it in place, with a tablet that I don't intend to take off, so basically does the job. Since it has a ball end I may eventually replace it with another clamp that has a same attachment in the future.

I don't love it, I don't hate it
I don't love it, I don't hate it. It functions as designed. It is very sturdy. I have, so far, only used it for my phone, so I am not sure how it will hold up under the iPad. It seems as if it would stand up to its weight.

Holds my brand X 10" Android tablet fine. As others have said would probably have a problem with the Ipad. Overall a great value. See screen to the left of the TV.

Did not work for my 4th generation iPad
I was very excited for this product to come in, and when it did I was disappointed in the entire product.I tried to set it up in my dorm next to my bed and failed. I attempted to do this for about 20 minutes, nothing worked. I finally found a way for it to work and it did well for a while. Unfortunately, that was the only position that would work.My tablet never would stay at the angle that I wanted it to stay at. The ball-in-socket joint would not tighten enough to hold the tablet at the position I wanted it.Also, the pictures shown for the product clearly show that you can "float" your tablet where you want it. I found this to be false. The flexible arm seems to be strong enough to hold the tablet in any position you choose. But where the clamp and arm meet never stayed tight enough to and allowed the arm to "swivel".I tried to set this product up on my desk and I experienced the same problems as stated earlier. I would not recommend this product to a friend.
