Only Works With Select Lighting. 5 Step Dimmer.
We've been remodeling our home for a while now (we're both retired, so there's no hurry), and our home needs new switches and outlets desperately. You know they are old when you plug something in and a minute later, when what you plugged in isn't working, go back to the outlet to find it's just basically fallen apart. Our switches are in the same condition. As I replace the light fixtures, I'm replacing the wiring where I can, and the switches. I liked the look of these, so thought I'd order and install them. I wanted to install the first one to work with a new light over the kitchen sink, that's where i found out they don't necessarily work with any light fixture that is stated to work with a dimmer. I also found out they don't work when you don't have a neutral line (I'm pretty sure that relates to a lot of dimmer switches). In any event, they worked with my dining room and a bedroom fixture. Install was easy, and work as expected. Not real crazy about the step down/up feature that gives you 5 different light brightness settings, from very dim to full brightness. Most folks are used to a knob you turn or a slide switch, where the dimmer settings are wherever you want them to be. This sells for $42.99 (as of this review), for a twin pack of these. They have a modern look, with a glass face plate. Price is competitive with many standard low end dimmer switches. They're not bad, but not necessarily the nicest I've run across. But, at $21.50 each (if bought separate) they are not a lot of money, and actually like nicer than what they cost. Installed now for almost two months, use them daily several times a day, still operate the same as the day I installed them. For the low price they seem to be holding up well, even through all the dirt, dust, and wherever else is floating through the air these days!

Works great, elegant look. UPDATE: LASTED FOR ABOUT A MONTH. BOTH STOPPED WORKING.
UPDATE (MAY 19, 2020): Its been a little more than a month since I installed these switches and write this review. Both the switches stopped working within a span of one week. I tried removing them from the app, deleting, and reinstalling the app but they still don't respond. Disappointed !!!!!+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++I installed this in place of a really old dimmer switch that controls six BR30 lights in our living room. The installation was easy with the included guide. The instructions were complete with lots of illustrations. In fact there was a separate manual to describe how to configure the control of the switch with the app and for Alexa integration. And this had actual diagrams/screenshots from the app, making it easy to understand. With its tempered glass glossy look; the switch panel looks very good and adds to the “modern” vibe pf the room. Since its flats, its easy to clean. The touch-active switches for power ON/OFF and for increasing/decreasing the brightness are very responsive and fast. I would have liked had the red light been a little less brighter.A suggestion: There are only four “dimness” steps in the switch which gives you limited option to set the brightness of the lights. It would be ideal to have at least 6-8 increments of the dimmer switch.Another improvement I can suggest is that the rear parts of the switch is too big and that leaves little wiggle room to adjust the wire inside the switch box. If this part could be made a little smaller; it would be easy to install the switch.Nonetheless, it’s a god looking, elegant and handy switch to control he lights manually as well as with app and/or Alexa.

Not compatible with any of my LED lights
I was very excited to install this. I love the look, the function, and the integration this switch offers. However, there is a big problem. I have installed this in 3 different rooms, with 3 different types of LED lights, and this did not work. The LED lights reacted differently in every room. They all turned on, but all at a different brightness. None at full brightness. The dimming did not work at all. So I am going out on a limb to say that this does not work with LED lights at all. One hint is that the terrible installation instructions list the specifications. It lists that it handles a load power of 1000W with incandescent lights. So if you have incandescent lights, this will probably work well. I do not have incandescent lights anywhere. I don't even own a old incandescent light bulb. So I can't even try out the switch. Incandescent lights are energy hogs, and very old technology. No value here to me. I give it 2 stars for possibly working well with old light bulbs. I do not know for sure.

Works with "dimmable" LEDs or old school bulbs..
The trouble these days is that LED bulbs are not always made to be "dimmable". This means at low power, they shut off instead of dimming. This is a problem with the bulbs, not this dimmer.So.... If you want this to work with LED fixtures or bulbs, those fixtures or bulbs must be "dimmable".That being said, since this dimmer isn't a full slide, even dimmable LEDs are off at the lowest setting, at about 50% at the next step up, then I would guess at 75% and 100%. So you will not have a way to set LED at around 25% depending on the minimum dimability of your fixture or bulbs. Again though, this is due to the fixture or bulb and not this switch.I do think it would help if the description made that more clear, but as a dimmer for "dimmable" LEDs or standard old style bulbs, it works fine. Does what it says, and I love that I can tell my Alexa to turn on the lights by voice.
