Dream Songs: The Essential Joe Hisaishi

I heard a track played on Classic FM (UK) recently & identified it as “One summer’s day”. I loved it straight away & decided to order the CD album from Amazon entitled “Dream songs”. A wonderful double cd album, so relaxing & a joy to listen too! Certainly recommended if you enjoy piano music!

What a wonderful collection of the best of Hisaishi's collaborations with Miyazaki (for whom he scored all but one of his anime) and more. Not all are in the Ghibli fold - Summer is from Kikujuro and Birthday stands on its own as a peaceful reverie. Was most interested to hear quite a few of the pieces in Classic FM's tribute to Ghibli.I think I've driven my family mad playing this music all day long. The nice thing about buying a CD from Amazon is that you then get access to it on the Amazon Music app on your mobile phone (free in your library), which is more portable than 101 CDs, and you don't have to download anything. So you can play it any and everywhere, to further antagonise the family...

Wonderful music ,in every sense ,a must,sit and enjoy

I'm a big fan of Joe Hisaishi, and although I already owned some of the music on this album, there are some excellent new arrangements and performances. The recordings are all excellent quality and both the CDs are entertaining from beginning to end. There's a very nice booklet included with interesting facts about Mr Hisaishi's career. Highly recommended

An elegant and moving album by one of the greatest film composers of all time.

I like it a lot. It includes 2 CDs and it took me a while to figure out how to get to the second CD. My favourite is ponyo.

Joe Hisaishi is a master at making lovely relaxing yet exciting music. Highly recommended!
