I used this filter for my kitchen wall air conditioner. I cut it to the perfect fit. It works great.

These filters work. The foam is thin enough at .25 inches thick to allow air to pass easily through them, while being dense enough to trap very fine dust. Traditional screen filters trap some dust, but placing a properly sized Duck Brand filter behind the screen filter, and over the condenser coil grill will trap so much more dust that very little gets through to ultimately clog the cooling fins and degrade the efficiency of your air conditioner. I still recommend cleaning or replacing them twice per season, but they are durable enough that we have often hosed the collected dust from them, dried and then reused them a couple of times per season for two or more seasons. Of course, you could simply replace them, since the foam is easy to cut, and is large enough uncut to fit even large wall-mounted A/C units (check your unit's measurements to be certain). I highly recommend this product as a great way to enhance the air quality of your living space while preserving the efficiency of your air conditioner.

I'm using these as a pre-filter for my home AC to help my expensive allergy filters last longer. Since it's in the hallway I can see it everyday and clean it as soon as necessary, which only takes a week or two with my indoor dogs. I just wish it came in 20x20 for box fans.

These filter are just the right size they worked great.
