Glass gallon jugs
We refill are water at a big box store in 5 gallon containers and transfer it into the gallon size when we get home. The size, design, durability is great . The seal is ok , they are a heavy glass and functionality is outstanding.

Excellent for milk
I pick up six or so gallons of milk direct from a farm. I needed thick, sturdy and practical jugs for this. These works perfectly. They come with a plastic seal lid and spout then a red lid on top to cover. The lid has been a perfect seal and pours great with no dribble going down the glass once done pouring. Handle is exceptionally strong and doesn’t slide around at all, indicating it is on good and tight. Glass is thick and can handle the occasional banging around on ice with each other over not so smooth gravel roads. All and all, I wish they were a little less, so I could have lots more but they are great looking, heavy duty versatile jars.

Solid glass jar, 4L size good for odor-free storage, very good price.
We have a fantastic 5L "umeshu" Japanese-made glass jar with an integrated glass handle we got in Japan many years ago. Sadly, they wither don't make them any more or they can't be found on the internet. I found this solid glass jar, 4L size, with a plastic handle. While it's smaller, it's still a good size for storing rice, cereal, flour, sugar, etc., odor-free, for long periods of time. Plastic containers are not good for these types of storage uses as the plastic eventually imparts both an odor and taste, ruining the contents, which then must be thrown out. Large solidly-built storage jars like this are hard to find. This glass jar is solid and strong. It has a very wide mouth, so dipping in a rice cup or flour cup to scooping up cupfuls of rice, sugar, flour, etc., is very easy. The plastic handle is sturdy, not flimsy, so I have confidence when lifting up a full jar to pour contents out in large quantities. The wide mouth on the jar also makes for very easy washing and fast drying. And though I wish it was a little larger, 4L is large enough for most needs. They come in a two-jar pack, so between the two you can empty most sizes of rice, flour, etc. (Obviously not the 50lb sacks of rice!)For those who want to use it for other cold liquids (like ice tea or lemonade, etc.) it has a lid which seals the top with a pour opening with a separate locking opening cover, so that pouring directly out of the jar is easy. It's a little on the big side for fitting into a refrigerator, but it will still fit, so in that case, the 4L size might be good rather than the larger 5L one I have for making umeshu (which doesn't need refrigeration.)I am very pleased to have found this jar and the price was very reasonable. The glass is solid, and the plastic handles are also strong grade of plastic, appropriate for the size and weight of the glass. It was also packed very securely with lots of bubble wrap inside a box inside another box. I bought two sets and will buy another set. I highly recommend it.

Very well made. Nice!!
I just got these to help me pour water into a water filtration system and they are perfect for that! These are really nice. Heavy, the lid unscrews easily and the plastic pour top well made. They even added a third pour spout plastic piece, so thank you for that! Not sure what I will use the second jar for but I will find something and I will probably be back for more of these!

Awesome bottles - but they are super HEAVY and SLIPPERY when wet!
I'm a disabled senior citizen with a compromised immune system. I have a sensitivity to BPA, and most plactic bottles have varying levels of BPA. I need five bottles for my fridge (two for tea, two for tap water, and one for filtered water. Let me begin by saying I really like these bottles. They are sturdy, have a nice, tight inner seal with a pour spout, and an orange outer seal like you see on thermos containers. I have removed the outer seal when storing in the fridge, but they would be great if you needed to transport the bottles. The handle is nice and tight; however I would not trust carrying the bottles by the handle. God forbid if it came loose while carrying it to the fridge from the sink and came crashing down on your feet! Likewise, the bottles are very slippery when wet, and if you're not careful, the same thing could happen and you could crush some toes and if it broke, it could get bloody. I compensated for these challenges by transporting the bottles via my rollator walker. I also use a kitchen towel and wrap it around the bottle while picking up, carrying, and putting inside the fridge. It makes me laugh to tell you I carry the bottle like a toddler wrapped in a towel, but that's about how it is (a heavy toddler at that). Lastly, since my fridge shelves are glass, trying to slide glass bottles across a glass shelf is very difficult (nd like fingernails on a chalk board). Glass on glass? So, I'm shopping around for shelf liners for the fridge now. HEADS UP to the seller. How about making up some wraps for these bottles to combat the slippery? It sure would help with safety issues for people like me. These heavy bottles may be difficult for me because I am older and weaker than some. However, I now believe these bottles are part of my physical fitness program. I'm getting stronger evey day lifting them. Who needs free weights?

Love these! Almost perfect.
I’ve had these jars for almost a year (a little over one month shy). They have withstood daily use in that time and have held up well. The glass jar itself and the outer red lid are still in pristine condition. However. The inner lids have cracked and now leak when pouring. Not too bad for almost a year of consistent use, but knowing this, the company should have replacement pour spout lids as a separate listing in their shop to make it fast and easy to reorder. Otherwise, we love them. Our farm where we get our milk has wide mouth jars they use that inevitably spill all over the place especially with the first few pours. I love these jars for how easy it is to pour.
