My 4 y.o. has a high arch and wide foot. He slides well in shoes with the help of shoe spatula ( if I named it right :) ) even though it does have a zipper. But still shoes feels too wide. On my opinion they have to be corrected with the zipper anyway.

I've reviewed these boots previously. Just buy them. You won't regret it. They are great boots.

My 5 year old loves these. He can slip them on and off, they held together through our muddy spring and didn’t make his feet stink! (They breath enough)
