Do not buy for 240v. The 5 star reviewers are clearly clueless with regards to electrical safety, or have never actually used these. They require soldering, which for outside sockets is a huge pain, in addition to this they are tiny so low amperage, but also the cable glands will only accept the smallest circular cable - don't think these will work with outdoor cable for lights etc, they'll be too big.

They work fine, if a little fiddly to fit, big hands and small screws dont mix :-)Also one had clearly been opened and returned, since missing a screw on one terminal, which I did not actually need fortunately.Since one to the cables i was using was actually flex, I found it that soldering the flex ends, made fitting much easier

Well made product but probably not heavy enough for mains electric
Product is as advertised. The wires have to be soldered on to the connectors. Looks to be very well made.However, I do wonder what you would use it for. I hoped to use it for mains power I hadn't realised (my mistake) how small it was.I can only think you would run something like hi-fi through it.

Useful waterproof connectors
These are very useful waterproof connectors. I use them for electrical connections between battery and pump in a kayak, and are regularly submerged.

The description needs to clarify that soldering is required. Unit of no use to me - tried soldering 3 13amp cables to it. Even with tinning it was a nightmare as the terminals are so small. Gave up in the end.
