The connector to the pedal is NOT OEM.
As much as I wanted to install/like the Pedal Commander, a fellow Tiguan owner warned me that the connector to the accelerator did not "click in" like stock. So, being curious, I decided to connect both connectors of the unit itself together.I was amazed that it:A) did not click locked like stockand more importantlyB) I could not separate the connectors.I had to contact the Pedal Commander support team to find that the connector did not attach like the OEM connector, but required THOR like strength to push down on the connector, and then since the downward force negated the upward motion to disconnect them, I needed a screwdriver to gently separate themThere was no way if I connected the Pedal Connector to my vehicle, that it was not coming out without breaking "something"I returned the unit, sadly.

Do Not Buy - Causes Codes
Contacted customer service for return, was told the device was outside of the 30day return window. Caused 2 catastrophic failures in the vehicle, including one break down on the side of the road. This is cheaply made and untested. Do not waste your money or support this terrible product.

Two broke, no love from PC
I have had two units fail due to poor design. First one broke during initial install and the second one during uninstall. Both pieces that came off are part of the security latch that hold the unit in place. I did get a replacement for the first faulty device. After the second one failed I was dismissed by customer service as the reason and refused a refund. I am a former mechanic and have designed and built multiple restaurants and breweries. I know how mechanical and electrical systems work. Unfortunately, I can’t put trust in this design and I am out $300. There are other options out there. Good luck.
