IAMAUTO 69953 Tailgate Hardware & Rebuild Kit Handle,Bezel,Latches,Cables,Rods etc. for 1999-2006 Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra

fit like it should, took about a hour to change out, tailgate now closes snug not loose and rattley.

Everything fit up good, but the control rods were 6 inches too long on both ends, wth? I just stuck with the original rods as they were intact. If you have a 2000 GMC Stepside Sierra like I do and have a missing or bent latch arm then you might want to look at other options because they will be too long. It says they will fit, but do not.

Fits up fine, doesn’t include replacement shoulder bolts for the upper cable mounts so everything looks brand new when you open the gate until your eye catches the only two bolts that the kit didn’t include. Would be nice if they added the strikers for the latches into this bundle but they are easily found on amazon for a few bucks. Overall it’s a solid kit.

Good handle so far but it's only been a couple of weeks. I don't lower my tailgate everyday but it is a softer pull now verses before. The cable was about a half inch shorter than the original. The bolts were definitely different. I wound up using the handle, cover and the rods. Overall right now I'm happy that it works.

The parts are solid and easy to install. My only issue is that the handle isn't spring loaded like the OEM part, so there is a bit of slop in the handle when latched, but it still works perfectly.

Issues with the cross bars.( for my truck) All in all great kit. Looks good. Works good. Very good value. Nice price. I would recommend it.

Product was shipped in a timely manner. All parts fit as intended. Would buy again.

Installed in car, only complaint is the battery pack area sticks out... wish there was a way to disguise it more
