How Did I Not Get This Sooner?
I live in Texas and work from home most days. My home office is on the front corner of our house and gets a lot of sun. My wife likes to keep the A/C set to 76 degrees, and in the summer, the home office is 80+ in the afternoon. Before I purchased this, I was using five different fans (six if you include the ceiling fan) to try and keep myself cool. I bought this portable window-vented A/C unit just over a year ago, in July 2023, and it has made a huge difference. Before, I would have to take breaks on the hottest days, just to go to a different room in the house to cool down. Now, I only have to take breaks when I actually need a break from work. The unit isn't small, but it's not obtrusive. My only complaint is that it's a bit loud--but the cold air feels great, so it's not a huge trade-off. If I have to be on a call, I'll turn it off with the remote, and as soon as I'm done, it's back on at the push of a button. As noted, I've had it for more than a year now, and it still works as well as it did on the day I first used it (knock on wood). I haven't had to drain it yet, but if that ends up being a huge hassle, I'll come back and edit this.Overall, I couldn't be happier with this purchase--well, maybe a little happier if it wasn't quite so loud, but I definitely think it was worth what I spent, and I would definitely buy it again.

Performs as expected!
I have installed 2 of these in 15' x 15' rooms and they perform as expected, bringing the temperature down from 93+F to 80F in less than 20 minutes. I'm sure they could cool much lower, but us Floridians get chilly at below 80F. They suck all the humidity out of the room, which makes a huge difference.Installation will take about an hour, depending on your window opening. We had to cut some polystyrene to raise the window attachment up 3-4 inches because the plastic panel supplied is not deep enough for common sized aluminum window frames. The manufacturer should consider adding 4 inches of extra depth to the window seal kit!The unit is less noisy than the average window air conditioner. But don't expect a quiet environment, the fan alone will generate significant background noise, but they all do!The exhaust system generates significant heat, that is actually good because it proves the product is working, however you probably want to insulate it, we reused some old freezer bags wrapped around it to keep the heat in the exhaust and out of the window. This product requires some expertise and tools to install. It is not plug and play, it requires some modifications for your particular circumstances. Most home owners probably have all things necessary, those buying this for an apartment might need some assistance.

So far, so great!
Really nice unit that is about as loud as a quality fan. I put it in a closet with a window and have a fan in front of it. Made my room comfortable in about 5 minutes! It's a hot add-on room that obviously doesn't have the correct duct size because the central AC doesn't do much. It's also my home office and I don't feel like being miserable again this summer. Do yourself a favor and buy this machine

Absolute Waste of Money – Misleading and Poor Customer Service
I initially had high hopes for this air conditioner, but from the moment I set it up, I was met with disappointment. Right out of the box, the cooling performance was mediocre at best. My room started at 80 degrees, and after two full hours, it only dropped to 75, despite setting it to 65. That’s an unacceptable cooling rate for a machine that cost over $200. On top of that, the unit emitted an annoying whistling noise from the vents every few minutes, which made it even more frustrating to use.The real nightmare started when I realized the unit wasn’t improving over time. It never worked as advertised, and when I finally gave up on it, I decided to return it. However, due to transportation issues and not having a printer for UPS pickup, I wasn’t able to get it shipped back. With no other option, I threw the useless machine away.Later, I saw a message from the seller offering a refund. Naturally, I was relieved because I had wasted a significant amount of money on this. I responded, confirming I wanted the refund. But then they hit me with a ridiculous requirement: I needed to cut the power cord in order to qualify. This was never mentioned in the original message, nor was it stated anywhere in the product listing. How does that make any sense? If they had made this clear from the beginning, I would have done it. But instead, they conveniently failed to mention this critical detail until after I told them I had already disposed of the unit.At this point, it’s been too long, and there’s obviously no way to retrieve the air conditioner from the dump. The seller refuses to do anything because I can’t cut a cord that no longer exists. So now, I’m out over $200 with absolutely nothing to show for it, all because of vague refund terms and a lack of clear communication. This entire experience has been infuriating. The product was defective, the seller was unhelpful, and the refund policy was misleading. If you’re considering purchasing from this seller, don’t—unless you’re okay with potentially throwing your money straight into the trash like I did.
