This version of the mk1 is the one you want to buy. The clear acrylic cover is a solid piece, no assembly required. The arc reactor itself is all alloy construction, not acrylic. It is heavy and durable. I was very impressed with this piece. The light up feature works really well with the tap function. The arc lights up with a perfect blend of blue and white. I searched through every seller and reviews. Finally decided on this one and it is perfect!

But let me tell you…. This thing is bad ass!!!!!! It has some weight to it that clearly makes you feel like it’s not a cheap child’s toy!! It came packages to perfection so no damage could be made and on the outside of the shipping box it said “FROM PEPPER” note this if you want it to be a surprise because that almost ruined it for my surprise…. But because of how cute that packaging was I couldn’t wait 36 fricken hours to gift it to my guy because I was so excited to see the inside!!! Definitely a great purchase, he is a MASSIVE marvel fan and he shed a tear when he opened it. 10/10 would recommend for a grown ass comic/marvel lover.

This is so so cool! Easy to thread the USB power source through the stand. It looks EXACTLY like it does in Ironman. Note: the arc reactor only lights up when plugged into the supplied USB cable so you have to thread it through the base stand. slip the cord through the brass nut first then up through the base, then thread the cylindrical post to the brass nut. Plug it in. Tap the top of the glass case, repeated taps will sequence: OFF: Blue light: Blue/Orange glow: OFF. I got it as a night light for my Marvel dork daughter. Best $99 Marvel gift you'll find.

I absolutely love this replica! I've had it for awhile now and it's absolutely amazing! The only issue I have is that for some reason mine will switch from the solid light to the light that dims on and off by itself! Other than that I love it!!
