You don’t need kick up fins and I broke mine quickly.
I broke the spine on my kick up fin version and to date (5 months later) have not been able to get replacement parts from Hobie so I bought this 19 version. I like it better and the turbo fins are slightly wider on this version. Surface area = speed.
