Samsung S8 Active Replacement battery
Replacement battery worked great for my Samsung S8 Active. Watched a video on YT, and was done fairly quick. If you're handy with tools.

It's really helpful and neat.
This little kit really helped with getting my phone back up in running.battery size a little smaller than expected and sometimes I can hear it when I shake my phone, but I don't mind.my phone sometimes has trouble turning on but at least it turns on now so what can I say.The kit came in very neat packaging, and it really helped to not lose the tools. My parents did yell at me and say I would need to get a whole new phone, and it cost so much money, but they were really proved wrong so..

Disappointed with Defective Battery: Samsung S8 Active Replacement
I recently purchased a battery replacement for my Samsung S8 Active from an Amazon reseller, hoping to improve my phone's battery life. However, I am deeply disappointed with the product's performance. The replacement battery was advertised with a capacity of 5050mAh, but after just two days of use, Accubattery Pro indicated a capacity of only 3700mAh. This significant difference raises concerns about the quality and accuracy of the product. It is disheartening that the reseller would sell a defective battery, misrepresenting its capacity. The reduced capacity has severely impacted my phone's usability, causing constant worry about battery life and hindering my daily activities.I urge the reseller to address this issue promptly, provide an explanation for the misrepresented capacity, and take responsibility for selling defective products. This experience serves as a warning to potential buyers seeking reliable battery replacements. In conclusion, my experience with the Samsung S8 Active battery replacement from this Amazon reseller has been highly unsatisfactory. I hope they take appropriate action to rectify the situation and prevent others from encountering similar disappointments.

Works as intended.
Normally I don't do reviews. Certainly I don't do them shortly after receiving a product. In this case, I'm doing it because of the sentiment that was restored to me.My S8 battery failed a while back, and expanded. This phone has all my texts back and forth with my Dad, that didn't transfer when I upgraded. I lost Dad back in 2021, and being able to read through our old conversations always makes me happy.I thought this phone would never be fixed because no phone stores work on the S8 active. When this came in, it was fixed inside 15 minutes.Everything works, phone charges, they even sent tools, and now I can go back and feel that connection with my Dad again. So for that alone, this gets 5 stars.

Lacking instructions
This battery replaced my original 2017 Samsung battery which miraculously lasted for almost 7 years with heavy use and solid day-long battery life. One day the phone just wouldn't keep a charge and just shut on/off by itself. I ordered this replacement battery with tool kit using one-day Prime shipping and when it got here there were no instructions. I watched a YouTube video on replacing Galaxy S8 Active battery which helped, but otherwise I would have had no idea what any of the tools were called or how to use them. I've been using almost a week so far and the phone charges and works fine so no complaints with actual product so far. I do think if you are going to sell a product with the tools you need to install it, you should provide installation instructions also. So thumbs down on that part. We will see how long this battery lasts...

The battery cable has to be pulled out some from the top of the battery....
Instructions would have been helpful... IFixit was useful, BUT, don't mess with the 4 torx screws that hold the bumpers on; they don't need to come off to do this fix! You don't really need to remove the sim card either.Put about a cup of rice into the toe of two socks, microwave them 45-60 seconds, and place one under the phone and one on top. Let the heat soak in to loosen the adhesive. This is especially important on the battery, as there is very little plastic between the battery and the screen; very easy to damage the screen! Let it heat till the battery is quite warm to the touch. The metal frame around the phone will be uncomfortable. Use the spudger and lift the battery near a corner a little and wait for the adhesive to separate. Repeat, alternating corners until the battery lifts up maybe 3 mm. At that point you can get under it. COntinue with the lift a little, wait, lift a little process as you lift the battery out. The pink strips go on the bottom of the new battery and work like a command strip; pull to release. Not perfect, but better than stock! I re-used some stickum from the old battery and demonstrated the strips on the old battery.
