I switched from the spray-can dry shampoos awhile ago after realizing that those all contain ozone damaging fluorocarbons (almost anything in an aerosol can does) as well as alcohols, which give your hair that extra dry crunchy feeling. NO thank you!I've tried a several loose powder dry shampoos (Primally Pure, Bumble&Bumble, Drop Dead Gorgeous) and this one is by far my favorite. I love the light lemony scent and the fact that it only has a handful of ingredients. It also works very well, absorbing excess oils and neutralizing odor. I find with other dry shampoos I need to reapply again the next day, but I've noticed this dry shampoo lasts much longer, reducing the amount of times I need to reapply.This is the first time I've used a brush to apply dry shampoo and it is a game changer! The brush applies the powder much more evenly than my fingers usually do. Sometimes I run my fingers through my hair quickly after just to shake any excess out, but the brush is such a great way to apply the shampoo, I'm so glad the shampoo came with one! The brush bristles are synthetic, so I wash the brush with mild soap about once every other week just to remove any build-up and oils trapped in the brush.Also, as a side note, I actually never ended up receiving my original order. It was in transit for over 2 weeks (clearly it had gotten lost in the mail somewhere) and Two Goats Apothecary immediately shipped out another one to me with expedited shipping once I emailed them about this issue. Great customer service!

This stuff is divine. I have oily roots and every dry shampoo I’ve tried has made the problem worse or makes my dark blonde hair chalky. But this stuff lets me go DAYS without washing my hair, something I was never able to do before. The smell is strong, but I really enjoy it. And getting the applicator is a definite must. I cannot speak highly enough of this. One thousand percent amazing and worth it!

I've tried dozen of ecofriendly and vegan dry shampoos but most in aerosol form. This was my first with powder and I am really glad to say that it works and feels great on hair. My hair is the darkest shade of black and it doesn't look grey in it. The brush works great too.

I probably would have liked this product more if it came in a shade for red hair. This shade was listed as recommended for red, but left an ashy finish, even after a lot of blending. You could just see the color, I think.That being said, the customer service was A++ on returning the product and I will be trying other items from this seller in the future.

I have long hair and I try not to wash it for 7 days. Recently my regular dry shampoo was unavailable, so I gave this a try. It said it had a strong odor, but since it mentioned cocoa and orange, I thought I would love it.It came; I tried it for two weeks. I used it sparingly the first week and didn't look like it was helping. I ended up washing my hair every 3 days. In the second week, I started using more, it did seem a little better until day 5, when I scratched my head and got dark brown junk under my nails. After inspecting my scalp in the mirror, I found the powder had coated my skin and it looked orange! There was quite a build up. I wash my hair immediately and re-inspected it. I still had some visible! I had to rewash and carefully comb my whole scalp to get it all out.Afterwards, my husband said he was glad I threw it away because I was starting to smell profusely of coffee and he could no longer smell my perfume. Currently trying another brand.

I have used many dry shampoos for my fine bleached blonde hair. This is by far the best. I used the light shade. It actually made my roots look toned and blended right in. I loved the smell as it was not overpowering and it was fresh. It took care of my greasy roots and did not weigh my hair down at all. I have a lot of skin/scalp allergies and this did not irritate my scalp or skin at all. It added volume and made my hair manageable. Will buy again.

This product works well, and I love the packaging. Also love that it blends in with my dark brown hair. But I’m not so sure I can get used to the smell. Because it has cocoa powder in it, the scent is chocolate and citrus/orange. Great product but the scent is not for me.

I’ve tried soooo many dry shampoos over the years. This one definitely absorbs the oil. And I love that it doesn’t turn my dark hair white like others do. I prefer the loose dry shampoos over aerosols, as I think they’re more effective at the job. I like the scent, reminds me of cloves and allspice. It does tend to scatter everywhere so must apply over your sink. Great product!
