I'm having a winter baby (due in January) and after ordering these hats I was worried the material would be too thin, more like a summer hat. But these are nice and thick and super cute! I think these should be perfectly warm!

**Updated Review** After washing and drying on medium heat, the hat has shrunken enough to fit a Premie-sized baby. So happy he can wear this to help keep his head warm. The hat is very soft and fits nicely over head and ears. Ordered this cute hat specifically because it offered a Premie size for my small grandbaby. Unfortunately, the hat is 0-12 month and way too big. Will keep it for later, but it doesn't meet the needs now.

Exactly what i needed for my 3 month old boy! Perfect size as his newborn hats were too tight. Thickness is great for our winter outings. Wearability functions well and covers the forehead.
