Beginner and Professional Friendly
Prior to buying the Simple Baker Silicon mat, I had repeatedly tried to make macaroons using parchment paper, but I would always bump into issues. The macarons would have no feet (no matter how carefully I followed the recipe’s directions) They would crack very easily and I was finding it a bit difficult to make them equal in size and they just wouldn't have that great taste I was looking for. When I bought the mat all of this became so much easier! The mat regulates heat much better than the parchment paper does, making them have feet easily and allowing them to bake to their full flavor. The outline on the mat also makes it much easier to make them all equal in size and I love the bear ears outline (I made blue bear macarons for a friend's baby shower, they were a big hit!). Upon the 10 times I have used this mat, I've learned a few things that will perfect the macaron. At the beginning I encountered a small problem where the middle of the macarons would stick to the macaron mat (recipes where macarons have a soft inside have a tendency of doing that) I found out this was because the macarons did not bake long enough! If you encounter this as well, bake the batch for an extra 1 to 2 minutes as many ovens' temperatures are not accurate! The mat is already "nonstick"(which is true to the name, macarons pop off easily), so do not add any oil whatsoever! You'll ruin your macarons if you do so! To allow them to slide off even easier (if you notice you get them stuck a bit), allow them to cool off longer than usual. Cleaning up of the macaron mat is very easy even after so many uses of the mat, all you need is to rinse it in some warm water with light scrubbing.I should also mention how friendly the mat is even for beginners, I myself am a student baker. For those beginning/planning to get this mat, some small pieces of advice that can save your tray of macarons is let them sit for 45 minutes. If you live in a hotter place/ it’s a hot summer day where you live then give them about an hour to sit, even if they don't stick to you when you touch them at 30 minutes (I'm serious, I have had macarons that formed a shell at about 30 min. of sitting but when I stuck them in the oven, they sunk and cracked. I fixed this by letting them sit longer) This mat is awesome but do know finding what's perfect in your kitchen will require some trial and error. I am planning to get another one to help me bake more batches and make my life easier. Explore what you can make with this mat, the flavors are endless, my favorite so far is the red velvet macaron with whipped cream cheese frosting.

... summer I was pregnant and obsessed with making the perfect french macarons at home
Last summer I was pregnant and obsessed with making the perfect french macarons at home. I got pretty close but I couldn't get them to be a consistent size on my own. I decided to purchase this silicone mat and it worked great! It provides a few different size circlres and I found it to be a really helpful guide to how much you should pipe to get your macarons to be the same size. You could probably use them for other types of cookies and it saves you from having to purchase or waste parchment paper. My only complaint is that I wish it was designed so that I could fit a few more macarons on each pan.

Love this mat!
After the epic disaster that was my first attempt at macarons, I realized I needed a little help and decided on this particular baking mat. I've only used it a few times, but so far, it appears to be durable, easy to clean, and easy to store. Plus, the stencils make it very easy to create perfectly round, uniform macarons (I have not tried the bear ones yet). Note that this mat will smell a little when it's in the oven, but that smell will go away and it doesn't affect the taste of the cookies at all.I loved this mat so much that I ordered a second one because I discovered that my freehand macaron piping is garbage and I wind up with egg-shaped cookies. The only downside is you can only get 20 macarons per sheet using this stencil and you could easily get more by alternating the number of macarons per row, but that's the price you pay until you learn how to pipe macarons without a stencil. I only ever get 30-40 macarons out of a batch anyway, so it's no big deal for me.This mat works much better than parchment paper, at least in my experience. The last two times I made macarons, I used this mat and they turned out fantastic. I don't know if it was the mats or if I just improved, but I think these little silicone mats are a great tool for macaron baking and would recommend them to beginners and pros alike.

Love it for my macarons!
I really love this baking mat and I have nothing bad to say about it. I've been practicing my macarons for years and sadly I've never had the "perfect" batch that I wish for. I've come very close but still not there. After many different methods and recipes, I decided to switch up my baking equipment and try this baking mat along with a more professional baking sheet (which I also found on amazon). I don't bake as often as I would like so I tried to find something that wasn't outrageously priced in case this sat in my kitchen drawer for a few months. The first time I used the baking mat, I was pretty much jumping up and down in my kitchen because my macarons were perfectly shaped and had feet! I still had some issues with then being hollow/sticky, but that was due to bad folding. Anyway, I've been diggin this baking mat and I won't use parchment paper for macarons (or any other cookies) again. If you're into homemade baking and want to simplify your piping measurements or cookie measurements in general then I would give this a shot. Great seller and timely delivery.

Color mix up
I ordered the blue, received pink. I later found out in the reviews its a common issue. It's cute but can't review its workability until i can actually use it. Returning, giving the order process one more try. Will update my review once correct order is received.I'm just glad i didn't order multiple on the first order!

but my next batch I did on parchment and they turned out fine. I tried other baked goods on this mat ...
what a rip off! I can't recall the last time I ever said a negative thing about a product on Amazon, but I was mad. Venturing into the Macaron territory this mat was supposed to make things easier. What a joke! Every single macaron stuck to the mat. I blamed myself, thinking I'd done something wrong, but my next batch I did on parchment and they turned out fine. I tried other baked goods on this mat and they stuck too. I would return it if I had the time or if I had not thrown out the packaging. What a waste of $$$
