Skar Audio SK8M 8" 2-Way Marine Full Range 500 Watt Coaxial Speakers, Pair (White)

Bought these for a rigid inflatable boat that I have to go along a roto molded cooler that doubles as a bench seat and small storage. After installing the speakers along the head unit and small digital amp I decided to give the rig a short test just to make sure everything was properly hooked up, it turned into a 4 hour listening session with my kids jumping into the pool just to enjoy the sounds. Around the 2 hour mark the mids and highs balanced nicely and opened up the speakers.First thing, these things can play LOUD without any distortion at full range if they're property powered, in my case they're powered @ 90 watts RMS at 4 ohms from a small digital amp (kenwood), I can't even crank them all the way since at 3/4 I know the whole neighborhood was listening to my playlist.The base is fast and tight and the mid to high separation is surprisingly good for an 8 inch speaker, I guess the coaxial design helps a lot in that sense.At this price range you will be hard pressed to find anything that holds a candle to these, when compared to more expensive brands out there you won't be able to tell the difference unless you're expecting B&W sound out on the water which is the exact opposite to a controlled listening environment.All and all I'm very happy with these and glad to see that there are still companies that still put out products at very fair price points, just remember, powering these properly is key to getting the most out of them.

Install was not a direct replacement as I went from 6.5" to 8" on the outside of my Jayco Fifth Wheel. So glad I took the extra time to make these fit in the factory locations. The sound is phenomenal the look is great and what an upgrade for the depth of the sound. The bass response is allot better. To the point of buying welt cord to prevent vibrations on intersecting exterior panels that may offer a bit of vibration. Easy project and awesome return on investment!!!!!

These speakers sound amazing. Bass is solid, mid bass is warm, and the silk domes provide smooth treble without harshness. They are fed by a150 watt amp and have volume to spare. Speakers are well made for the marine environment.

Let me tell you this speckers are amazing for the money. I put them on my boat 4 8" and it sounds super loud and clear I love them.

These speakers are surprisingly good for the price. Clear highs and strong lows for the speaker size. I’m really somewhat shocked. Will def buy again - only just installed so will update if any longer term issues

Bought 4 8” speakers and installed them on my boat with the 1000 watt Skar amp.VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE SOUND. HOPE IT LASTS.

Just received the speakers and I installed it on the boat, they are OK and I would say if u paid 80 bucks or so u will perhaps manage to find same product out there, I replaced my cheap speakers with these and I don't see much difference.
