Was not disappointed
I needed a cordless beard trimmer. I wanted one zero gappable and narrow enough to define my cheeks and upper lip, with enough power and keen enough blade to trim my beard without grabbing hairs or requiring a dozen passes to complete the trim. The rest of my wish list included mechanical power switch, guide combs in gentleman's beard lengths, charging base, the longevity of li-ion, USA manufacture, and reasonable price. The Andis Pro Li ticked all the checkboxes.Immediately after unboxing, I reduced the gap in the blade. I read other reviews claiming this trimmer can be bitey, so I erred on the conservative side, leaving a gap about the length of a day's growth of stubble. So far I've had zero nicks. Changing the gap is pretty simple: just remove the two screws holding on the blade assembly, then loosen the two Y-axis oriented screws holding on the sliding blade a quarter turn or so, just enough that you can scoot the blade up or down as needed. When the gap is how you want it, re-tighten and reassemble. This little trimmer is a handheld lawnmower. If not for the blizzard of beard exploding from my face, I would wonder whether it was cutting anything. There is no resistance: it cuts without effort, like a hot knife through something that offers no resistance. The photo shows my beard cut with the 3/8" comb guide and edged with the near-zero-gapped bare trimmer. You'll notice the conspicuous lack of bloody cuts. So far, so good.Edit: After 3 months of ownership, my opinion of this little monster has not changed. It has still never grabbed or yanked a single hair. This trimmer is a pleasure to use.If I had one gripe, it would be that I wish the blade had a quick release for cleaning. So far as I can tell, my beard hairs will continue to accumulate underneath the blade until I bring a screwdriver back to the bathroom. I've used Norelco trimmers in the past with that sort of quick release. But none of those Norelcos have been zero gap-able or cut without pulling. Is a little less convenience the trade-off for better performance, then? Worth it. I absolutely prefer this Andis over any Norelco I've owned.

Good Product ... with some price gouging
I've only had the Andis Slimline Pro LI for a week. Have used it twice and it worked well.I've read a ton of reviews here on amazon and watched a ton of videos on youtube ... so many positive thoughts are what pushed me over the edge to purchase this. The negatives which were in many of both the videos and the written reviews were regarding battery life and power dying over the course of heavy use. I am only using this for self hair cuts so it will be very light use ... which gives me (possibly false) confidence in the longevity of this product. The other consistently reported negative is the on/off switch breaks easily. But again for myself ... i assume with light usage this should not be too much of a concern. What does worry me are the commenters here saying they've had it for a year or so and it just stops working. I suppose only time will tell. But for $54 it's a good risk/reward in my mind.YES ... I SAID ... $54 !!!There unfortunately seems to be a bit of price gouging going on with this product. Like I said just a week ago I ordered this (it's says Ships from and sold by Amazon.com ... so I blame amazon ... possibly just amazon bots for adjusting price due to other sellers raising their price ... ya know, computer algorithms and all). And I read another recent post from someone saying the price has gone up $30 since they bought it a month ago.So ... I assume for a while this thing was selling for $54. Well now with all the folks doing home haircutting ... it's a shame to see the huge price hike. I understand 'free market' ... but in the time of world pandemic ... ya think people would be better. Maybe a $5 price hike ... fine ... with all the orders you'll make a couple extra bucks. I mean, you're already making a ton of money because due to this pandemic you are selling tons and tons more.I digress ...The only other concern ... like a few others who have posted ... My item may have been used and returned. I don't think it was cuz I looked closely with a magnifying glass as I adjusted the blade to zero gap ... but I did see a good amount of that yellow 'goop' inside. Might just be a heavy dose of lubricant ... but it was more than I've seen on other products. That all said ... at $54 the price/value to me is excellent ... out of the box it cuts pretty well ... after you adjust the blade to zero gap (or very close) ... it cuts really well! At the current price of $86 ... I might go look at a different more 'pro' product that will cost around $100. But that is just my thoughts. Here's to hoping this holds up and continues to charge. Because as far has ergonomics ... it feels great!Hope this helps someone!
