Moleskine Classic Expanded Notebook, Hard Cover, Large (5" x 8.25") Plain/Blank, Sapphire Blue, 400 Pages

You end up paying a lot for a Moleskine, but they are worth it. The only negative for these is that they are notoriously unfriendly with fountain pens, you tend to have a lot of bleed-through with the ink.

These pages are much thinner than I expected. Writing is visible on the back side of the pages.

The book looks like it's nice quality; however, my plain gel pen bled through and ruined the next blank page. Im so disappointed, because moleskine makes high quality products. It was going to be ny journal, but it's not suitable for that. I'll just have to use it for scratch paper or try to return it even though I already used one page.

So I have been journaling in Moleskin notebooks for a couple of years now and this is the first time I bought the 400 pages version. Bad mistake the paper is way too thin and my fountain pen just shows through. This is the first time I have such problems…And now I need to go through 400 pages of this ….I recommend people to skip this and go for the smaller, 180 ish page ones

The journal is really nice, lovely ivory pages with rounded edges. The cover is pretty too, with a great flat-back spine.Only problem is the defects (I guess they happened while shipping.) I'm not impressed with the dents. There is a small one on the foredge of the front cover. The is a significant dent on the spine which is easily seen when the book is in the bookcase. And there's a heavy dent on the top left corner.It was in a box with brown paper, but it really should have been bubblewrapped. Expensive journals are worth the price, but not when they arrive with flaws.
