This red tiger-eye string of beads was beautiful! The color is deep and rich looking. The weight is perfect for bracelets and other beaded jewelry. The outside of the stones is smooth as silk.

Beautiful beads they are, however i've noticed that after maybe about a week of wearing my bracelet, i had some black specs every day on my wrist and if i went to rub what I thought may have been something dirty on my wrist, the spec would sort of smear on my skin and I would have to end up taking it off with water and sometimes water with soap and rub it off with a towel.It got to the point where i was able to deduce where the black specs were coming from and that was from these beads rubbing up against the adjacent bead. This is normal when one bead has a more abrasive surface but upon inspection (see attached pic, not the clearest trying to get in close) you can hopefully see what I see and that is he bead is grayish in the area of contact?I'm not a gemologist by any means but I do have other beaded bracelets with some roughed up beads but none changed from a matte black to a grayish color. Therefore i question if these were coated with black. If you chip at a rock, you get rock chips, but the color of the rock doesn't change and the chips that come off are usually solid and don't smear. I'll leave the judgement to those more knowledgeable than I am but like I said, these are absolutely beautiful when I first got them. Checking other stones that are next to an abrasive one I get the same result; a worn area that appears grayish. If you found my review helpful, please let know. I live in America and controversy aside, don't know much about the metric system. I've used those converters but they put inches in a decimal form and I can't quite get a handle on sizes because the decimal doesn't convert to actual inches. These are far too small. I got another set of 2mm that were actually smaller but these are still smaller than I can use. I also am learning that you don't get nearly what's pictured so be sure to read the description carefully. This was one small stand for as much as I've paid to get a couple hundred beads. So I feel ripped off but in actuality, it was my bad for not doing more research. Lesson learned.

My husband is making himself a bracelet with a NY Giants logo. He got lapis and red turquoise stones with white agate ones to make it. Very good color lapis.
