Lovely, unique looking addition to my collection
Many modern collector Barbies leave something to be desired, but I was impressed with this one. It is a truly beautiful doll that bears a striking resemblance to the inspirational woman it honors. The hair is gorgeous, the face is beautiful, and the dress is nice as well. It even comes with a vintage look microphone on a stand. The doll features an articulated curvy body. It is a very nice, unique addition to the series and to any personal collection. I love variety in my dolls, and this one definitely has it. Highly recommended.

A doll I’ve been waiting for!
Although the item is supposed to be NEW IN BOX, it had obviously been tampered with and possibly removed from the box—see photos of the extremely scratched up window of the box, the beat up and damaged box itself and the broken seal. With all of that, she’s lovely! I’ve decided not to return her and use her in a beautiful display case. I’m giving 4/5 stars because of the damaged box.

Absolutely the best purchase ever! Purchased one for me and one for my sister's 48th Birthday, we both love her! She is so gorgeous and perfect in every way. Love this doll!
One of the best lower-end dolls made by Mattel and perfect for Ella fans. Beautiful details -- from the hair perfectly coiffed to the dress with its frills. She's beautiful and looks just like Ella. I unboxed her and put her in display. Great for a collector ... not sure about its appropriateness for a child unless you have a kid who takes very good care of their dolls (she's too beautiful to destroy like a run of the mill Barbie doll, so I would be careful).

Wonderful depiction of a beloved jazz artist. I have not deboxed yet, but this doll presents very well in box. Her styling and face sculpt are rendered in a fashion that compliments the look and style of a younger Ella Fitzgerald. Pleased with this purchase and so happy to see Ella feted this way. This doll is just beautiful! One of the best in this series of dolls. Price point is very good. I love so many things about this doll. The skin tone is wonderful. Dress very nice.Facial paint spot on and the hair is fabulous!!!! Well done Mattel!!!!!

Beautiful Doll! Packaging was damaged!
Doll is beautiful! Packaging was horrible! When I opened the box my item looked like something heavy had fallen on it . The entire box was damaged. I wanted to keep it in mint condition but now I have to open it to check for damages. I can't believe Amazon sent out an item in that condition. I an very disappointed in Amazon.
