An excellent glass kettle that works well. It heats water fast without issues.It is easy to clean (the screen/filter flap on the lid gets in the way a bit). I let it soak in a little vinegar and then wipe and rinse to be like new.A great value and I recommend.Note: this item is for heating water only. I see photos in other reviews showing dark liquids in the kettle and then complaining that it has leaks! The instructions clearly state this is for heating water and only water. Seep your tea/coffee in a separate mug!

I was looking for something better than a teapot to boil water and after looking around and researching I decided to buy this.Initially, looking at this design it seemed simple and easy to operate.However, what really got me was how fast this thing can get water to boiling temperature, and after timing it the second time it turned out it can boil water in under 6min which is insane.These were my results"1st attemptRoom temp to boiling temp took 5m 23 seconds .07 milliseconds2nd timeRoom temp to boiling temp 5min 14 secondsIf you are looking for something fast and efficient. Over a year's daily use, could not be more pleased with it so far. The only thing further is how long it will last. If it performs like this for four or five years, it's an ideal product for a very fair price. I love the design and the light. It's cool. It's a cool thing to have that works fast and is almost impossible to mess up or find problems with from my own experience. It's so convenient that I often refill and hit that button when I wouldn't normally. I use it when I want to cook something with smaller amounts of water and I just boil in the kettle first and then start with already boiling hot water on the stove. I also take supplements that can or should have hot water added sporadically and have found that I go back to it so often while realizing what a convenient feature it has given my daily life. It is definitely not one of those once-a-year kitchen appliances that takes up room. It looks and functions fine always out on the table or counter, so you can keep water in it and press the button whenever you want a quick touch of hot water or tea. The sleek look of it ensures that leaving it out does not seem junky at all, IMO, so it's always plugged in and ready. Really happy with this purchase, guys. Packed very well too.

When I ordered this COMFEE Glass Electric Tea Pot, it says cordless and auto shutoff. I knew it had to plug in somewhere, but it wasn't clear to me in the description. I ordered it. In the photo you can see the bottom stand it sits on that has the cord and plugs in. The pot sits on it and heats when you turn it on. A blue light comes on and it boils then it shuts off automatically. So, if you go in the other room and forget you turned it on ---no problem. It is off. The water boils quickly. You lift the pot off the heat unit and pour your amount for tea or coffee and then when you are ready for more you can make another perfectly hot cup. I highly Recommend this Product I Love it.

Nice hot water kettle. Heats really fast and I like the lighted feature when on (plus the automatic shut off). The lid doesn't open all the way nor does it remove, so cleaning and/or adding water from my water filter system can be a little tricky but it's not too burdensome.I have been using this kettle for about 3 months, and the flip down filter at the pour spout came off. Not exactly sure why, and more importantly I can't get it back on. There is a little button that projects when the lid closes and regardless which way I put this little filter back into place the button interferes and now will not allow the lid to close unless I keep this little filter off. That's not really a big deal since I'm only using it for water so there's nothing to filter, but it does seem to be a design flaw.Other than that, so far so good. I will update again if I notice any other problems over the coming months.

We bought this kettle in April 2020 and have used it to boil water at least once a day - often 4-6 times in a day - for over 4 years. It has finally quit but had a good long run!

Our 6-year old Korea-made stainless steel electric water boiler's press button light bulb was shorted. Though the boiler still works, we felt uncomfortable to continue using it without the light because both my wife and myself are deaf. We also felt it served us well enough to retire it. On the Sunday morning after Thanksgiving, I found this boiler on Amazon and placed the order around 8 am. Voila! It arrived at noon! After lunch, my wife and I went shopping and found an identical boiler at stores costing a lot more. At any rate, we prefer this boiler over the old one: Both the clear glass and the romantic blue LED lights allow us to know what happens in the boiler. Technical note: The specs indicate the power consumption being1500W, which is exaggerated, since, per Ohm's Law, it would mean 13.6A of current, which would exceed most of our household circuits at 10A. I believe the correct wattage is 800W. With respect to the shorted light bulb, it was built into the bottom on/off mechanism and can not be easily taken out for replacement. I guess only a handy miser would want to go through the troubles to replace the tiny bulb.Update on Jan 4, 2021: A power usage meter shows the boiler drawing 11.44A and 1400W. The boiler should use a 15A circuilt.
