Numbing isn't too strong and taste is good. I can't have many cough drops as the taste makes me gag, but these save my life istg

I’ve been using these for years just be careful. Pay attention to the back of the box. They are pretty strong. You have a sore throat and will definitely numb it out. However, there’s another ingredient in it that can cause you to feel sick if you take another one right after it, so please be advised not to take a second one shortly after finishing the first.

I was immuno-compromised after chemo so getting this through Amazon was appreciated. The taste of this Cepacol lozenge is nice. Whether Amazon or local store this lozenge is now a favorite.

I had forgotten how unpleasant the taste of these cough drops is, at least compared to the sore throat (only) Cepacols. It may just be too difficult to mask the benzocaine, which anyone will recognize if they have used OTC tooth pain medications such as Orajel. I think only adults will be able to force themselves not to spit these out. That said, the lozenge will help your throat, and that's why I gave four stars.The amount of Benzocaine in these drops is much less than Orajel, of course, so you won't be numbing your mouth just by sucking on these. But if you can manage to keep the lozenge close to the back of your mouth, your throat may benefit more, because by the time it dissolved, I felt the slight numbness all at the front of my mouth, where I had kept the lozenge. Whatever you do, don't choke on this or any other lozenge!

These were recommended to me for pregnancy when I had a cold and they are a great taste and price!
